ATT - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH AT&T WIRELESS!
This company baits and switch. The tell you one thing when you sign up for the 2 year contract; and then when I called the customer service department, they said that the sales person was incorrect.
The charged me a $40.00 fee for an upgrade. As soon as my contract ends, I plan on finding a new wireless carrier. I filed a complaint with the FCC and the Consumer Affairs website.
I hope people will read what I amd other have written about AT&T wireless and think twice about doing business with them. BTW, I have been a customer of this company for over 10 years.
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $80.
Preferred solution: Full refund.

i had the exact same experience except i was also charged a service change fee $40,,,,i had switched from gophone to a 2 year contract........this company is really ROTTEN....i would have stayed with GoPhone but my phone was busted and i wanted a better phone than what is offered with GoPhone accounts......i will also be filing some complaints against this company........especially regarding the overcharging for DATA
I just had the same thing happen w/o knowing it until I got a text message from AT&T saying my bill was going up 40.00$ a month!!! I thought I purchased the "new" 5S,haha, for 80.00 IN FULL, with a two year contract, only to find out that AT&T is going to charge me full price for it!!!!
Whatever happened to the flat rate of the plan and and upgrade meaning you get to purchase a new phone at a discounted rate, end of story! What's with all the sneaky charges!!!! I too have been a customer about 15 years and they pull this ***!
Why would I pay 550.00$ for an outdated phone with only a 1-2 year life expectancy??? Definitely looking for a new carrier and returning the phone, my other one worked better anyway!
