what a miserable, extortion based, cheating company. the original mobsters with there long distance monopoly has only gotten worse to deal with over the years. business phone service was a horrible over charge from advertised price 2x more monthly, internet speed was never near their claimed speed and best part they still charged long distance per min. My family has had AT&T Wireless Plus U-verse for many years and they stink they now are putting on the bill that if you don't talk to a U-verse voice customer that you are charged extra and anybody that calls that is not one and you just answer the phone they charge you they are saying that my husband and I U-verse voice customers on the bill and charging us extra that's why I get a bill monthly I want you to go paperless but then you can't view your bill like you really want to watch them they are sharks

ATT in Baltimore, Maryland - Switch Scam

Saw ATT ad for switching and the $650.00 per line. I did so. 4 lines to be exact. After 12 weeks of not seeing any money, I called and was told we are still processing your request. I no sooner hung up and 3 days later received notice in the mail, that they could not read my account information or that the information supplied was fraudulent. What?? I printed everything offline from my account. When I called them back to find out what they were talking about I was told they could not help me and I was not going to see any money from them.

ATT in Houston, Texas - Terrible Scam

I went to an at&t store shopping for prices for home high speed internet, the sales representative offered me high speed internet for $39.99. So first bill am expecting a $50 to $55 bill after taxes and whatever junk fees they may add, but nope my bill was $98, so I called and I got the run around and had to pay the $98 and they stated that it is high because it is prorated and they charged me for the device... next bill $107, then $116, then $189, I called again and told this is absolute insanity, my internet bill CAN NOT be this high.. why does it fluctuate all the time!! no one knows why, they all apologize but no one could actually do anything, so they brought that bill from $189 to $120, I paid then the next bill was $211 and they stated I did not pay my bill in full last month... these guys are a rip off... do NOT go there

ATT Switcher program is a travesty and once they have your money you are no longer important

I am an ATT employee and convinced my wife to switch our service over from Verizon (which we were happy with)as we get a pretty good discount as employees. We went in to a nearby ATT store and worked with an sales person there that was super nice and made it seem like the switch would be painless. We traded in a very nice Samsung Galaxy Note and my daughters iphone 5s. My trade in had a crack so they would not accept it. I took it the next day and had it repaired and then turned it in and then it too met the ATT conditions as a trade in. The next day I followed the salespersons advice and submitted all the proper paperwork electronically to get our rebate cards which we needed to pay off our old contracts with Verizon. Salesperson gave me his personal text number and told me to contact him anytime I had an issue. Within about 4 weeks we received the rebate card for my phone and my daughters but not my wifes. I would go on the website every few days and check the status of hers and it would always say pending. After about 5 weeks or more it said rejected and that the phone traded did not meet minimum requirements (I had paperwork from day one showing that it did). I called the switcher people and they told me to re-submit. I also texted the sales person and informed him of our problem. He never responded. 5 more weeks and we get a rejection letter in the mail. I was out of town so my wife went back to the store and spoke with the sales person. He did not remember us which is fine but after looking on his ipad said that we only turned in two phones, mine and our daughters. My wife assured him that we turned in 3 but he basically called her a liar by saying that if it wasn't on the ipad, it never happened. Furious wife calls me and I inform her I have the paperwork from the sales person showing the three phone buy backs. She tells the sales person this and in a few minutes they miraculously find the missing paperwork in their system. The manager of the store then has the nerve to tell my wife that because we waited so long to bring this issue to light, they were going to have to send it to another group entirely to get corrected! I had been on the phone with the switcher folks several times and had texted the sales guy on numerous occasions. Way more work then we should have to do after holding up our end of the contract we agreed to with ATT! My wife was told that the reason for the mix up was a company software "glitch" and received not one apology from the sales guy or the manager. In fact when she asked the sales guy why he never responded to any of my texts he refused to answer her so she asked him two more times. He would not respond. The manager then told my wife she would not allow her to "badger" her employee! So much for the customer being put first. We have still not received an apology of any sort from anyone. I am embarrassed as an AT&T employee that this is how customers are treated. To end the ordeal for my wife she and my daughter were basically told to leave the store and the manager walked them to the door. I in good conscious can not recommend ATT wireless to anyone looking for a new carrier. Thank goodness I do not work for that branch of the company as I would be ashamed. I will be following up myself everyday from here on out until we receive our rebate as promised. Good luck to others and beware if looking to switch.

ATT in Wichita, Kansas - Poor service from AT&T

I have had service with AT&T for a few months now. In that time period my line has been cut twice in two months. First one was not AT&Ts fault but was done by a maintenance man. Took them 8 days to get my service restored after many false promises of appointments where no one showed up. I spent hours on the phone each day. Now it's cut again. This time while working on my neighbors service AT&T cut my line. I waited for a service man that just came out and confirmed the line had been cut. Did absolutlly nothing but promised me an emergency ticket They now want 9 days to get someone out here to rebury a line for me and get my service restored. Totally unacceptable service.

Need to train their sales wing to a much greater ethical and moral standard. Maybe it was just an anomaly, but twice they have have told me something that was not true in order to make a sale. Customer service do not listen to complaints, simply choosing to gloss over with another deal offer to keep you. Will never use them again.

ATT in Grayling, Michigan - Data overages

For the past two months I have been getting data overage charges on my bill. I have a 30gb plan and have no idea how 30gbs get used up in a month. For the past month, I have received over twenty text messages saying my data has been used. I have chatted with ATT several times to try to figure out the problem and no one can seem to help me. I have done nothing different in the past two months that I haven't been doing in the past two years that I have had this plan. The customer service rep keeps telling me things I already know instead of what the problem is.

they're changing their plans to make the 30gb plan cheaper and we're getting rid of the overage charges.
