I asked ur customer service person how much my bill is going to increase because my daughter upgraded to an iPhone 8. Your employee ran down all the gigs for an iPhone 10 and when I reminded her that’s it was an 8, she had NO IDEA of what I’ll be billed! I wound up calling a retail att store and they told me how much based on months. Can u not afford to hire people who can speak the same language when it is IMPERATIVE that we get answers? So pissed!

Deceptive sales practices

When we purchased new service via phone, we were told that we would get 50 mbs internet service, but when tech arrived to install it, we were told it would be only 5 mbs. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Spoke to over 15 reps about getting the second line to boost it and was told it would take a month. Some of the worst, dumbest technicians around. I kept getting switched around and was even sent to a disconnected phone number and had to start the process over. Cancelled order!

They have definitely lost our business!!!

This company is so disorganized, I wonder how they are still in business. They blatantly lied, just in order to get our business.

I have been with ATT for many years...between my fiance and I we have 4 homes with home phone, internet and Direct TV from ATT. We also have all of the many cell phones we pay for for business/family with them. I can not tell you how many hours we have spent on the phone with weird conversations that go around in circles and never help. We tried to order the new fiber for our home and they came out a week later and said they have to get a dig order to hook us up. A month later they say they fixed it..nobody ever dug anything up. After not showing up to the scheduled appointment keeping us home all afternoon, they sent us an Email saying the job was completed....and turned off our services...phone and internet. When we called the next day we spent 4 hours on the phone and got nobody who even understood how this happened. A guy shows up at 3 that day and tells us that to hook up to the new fiber we are required to hire a contractor to dig a trench to our house and run conduit!!! They had our street dug up for a month installing this just 2 months ago! This is only the latest in a litany of issues. We are cancelling every ATT service and looking forward to NEVER dealing with this horrible company again!!!

I have been with AT&T for 20 years. A sales person at the store on Woodland Blv in DeLand talked me into getting direct TV. I specifically said I did not want any changes to the services specifically In Demand. He assured me that there would be no changes. The tech came to install the satellite, I specifically asked a number of questions and was assured of the quality of services and that I had options if the services did not meet my expectations. Well they don’t. In fact they are pathetic. I’m on the my fifth call and was informed that I will need to pay more to get the same services as before. Additionally I was disconnected 4 times with no calls back and they had difficulty hearing me. Who is my cell provider? Yess you guessed it AT&T!!!

Shady Billing/Poor Customer Service

AT&T changed my billing due date without my knowing and on top of that charged me more money saying they were doing a combined bill. Customer service was no real help on this. First call they told me there would be an investigation done and I would receive by mail an explanation. Never received an explanation. Called again and was put on hold all together for 40 min. Needless to say, I Hung Up!Shrug I have been a customer for over a decade! AT&T has charged a late fee every month since changing my due date in their favor by 8 days, and yet failed to change mailing time leaving only 5 days to pay bill - impossible- just to charge a late fee? Force auto pay? Paperless statement? GRRREED?

Back in Dec. 2016, I participated in a "buy one get one free" phone promotion with ATT. I visited the ATT store located 9527 S. Western, Chicago, IL. Spoke to a rep named Davon (who was subsequently fired the next week for I am guessing unethical practices). I explained to the agent that I was in the market to replace my son's phone and I could be in the market for a second phone depending on their promotions. Agent said they had a "buy one get one free" program. I told the agent my objective was to decrease my monthly costs and would have no problem purchasing a replacement phone outright. Agent said he could make this all work with the "buy one get one free" promotion - but given that my son's phone no longer functioned properly, I would need to turn in my phone to qualify for this promotion . Agent said I would need to add a line to my account but that this would be a wash since he would put this line on my existing Samsung Galaxy Tablet whose line he said I could eliminate given this line is no longer under contract (another lie). I went along with this - received two new LG V20 phones - one free and one on a monthly installment plan (required for this promotion). My next bill did not properly reflect all changes however the following months bill did reflect these changes - monthly charges increased by $80 more. I returned to the ATT store to speak with this rep - was told he no longer works there. I then spoke with the store manager - she informed me this sales agent was fired (I can guess why). I explained my situation to the manager. I told the manager that if this cannot be resolved to my satisfaction, then I prefer to go back to buying the one phone outright and having my phone returned to me. Agent said this was not an option given that my phone was turned in. Manager spoke with ATT reps (corporate I assume). Given the circumstances (sales agent that lied), ATT agreed to give me one phone free and to pay for the other phone. They also agreed to credit me for the extra phone line in order to make me "whole" (they cannot separate the phone from the phone line in promotions like this). I agreed. ATT never honored this - another lie. Manager said to monitor my account as this should be corrected within the next two billing cycles. This was not. I paid another visit to the ATT store; now this manager no longer works at the store! I spoke with the sales agent/manager Shante Williams and brought her up to speed on my situation (note that I have at least 20 hours into this). Shante spoke with corporate - went through the entire scenario again. ATT at corporate again said they would rectify this situation but that it would take time. Shante said to monitor my bills and if this is not corrected by the end of Dec. 2017 that I should come back into the store. This was not corrected. I visited Shante Williams yesterday (Jan. 30, 2018). Shante was kind enough to assist me - she spoke with ATT corporate and seems that now they refuse to credit me anything. Shante argued on my behalf (stating that this is not what was agreed to) but ATT corporate refused. I told Shante that I am done and will never do business again with ATT once my contract expires. Here I am one year later - still paying installment plans for two phones (never got one free) and paying for an extra line that I do not use (I don't even have a phone for this line). Cost to me to date is $90/month for 13 months which comes to $1,170. I have another 11 months of this to look forward to.

Business Phone

February: Notice to call if we would like to keep our current plan for our business phone. I called. Joe said we would be all set.

March phone bill: $99. and change

April phone bill: $120.00 and change

I called AT&T. Why did our rate go up? AT&T rep: It went up slightly, because the plan you were on no longer exists. We have you on a "New" plan that is comparable.

May phone bill: $162.00 and change.

The phone call lasted 2 hours and 24 minutes, while I spoke to a guy with a heavy accent who repeated himself constantly, and took most of the time typing up the order. Our company is small, one phone, one fax line, no internet, tablets, etc. He wanted to e-mail me a code to give back to him in order to activate the order for our new phone agreement. We don't have email at the shop. He didn't want to wait for me for 45 minutes to run home, get the email code, & drive back to the shop so I could give it to him. He wouldn't take a verbal okay.

Bottom Line: Do NOT get AT&T for your small business!

The Final Straw

I was a mobile service customer with AT&T for 15 years and blame myself for staying with them for so long. My primary complaint was their exorbitant prices. When I cancelled I was paying $134/ month for one line. The final straw began when I received an email from AT&T to let me know my $1,100 iPhone X would be shipped. I did not order a new phone. I contacted them and they told me that someone had ordered the phone on my account and they would cancel the order and flag my account for suspicious activity. I wasn’t happy but obviously agreed. One week later I got another email informing me that my new iPhone X had just been shipped (to a different address and individual than the first). When I contacted customer service this time they again aplogized and asked if I had added a new line to my account. I told them absolutely not. They had added a new line and shipped a new phone to someone on the other side of the country. All this after my account was supposedly “flagged” for suspicious/fraudulent activity. The absolute final straw came when I asked if changing my cell number might stop this activity. They said possibly but it definitely couldn’t hurt. Knowing this would be a hassle I went ahead and decided to change my number. Then they told me it would cost me $36! After I complained to a supervisor they agreed to reduce that charge to $18. A loyal 15+ year customer and they were going to charge me for their mistake. That was the end of my relationship with AT&T. Changed to another carrier for less than half what I was paying and actually have better coverage, way better.

Biggest rip off out there today , contracts ? they don't honor them

After 6 years with Dish Network I began having problems because they were trying to collect the illegal fifty dollar fee for fixing their equipment in your home so they can continue to charge you for what you actually pay for and that is receiving their signal ! I was approached by a door salesman offering , direct tv , telephone (land line), and supposedly fast internet internet , and cell phone service . All for under $250.00 a month tax included ! I signed a contract with him and they sent technicians to install everything . I think I waited for my first bill for about 2 months and it was $600.00+ I called to complain and was told they could not bill me until all their equipment was installed and operational , and they made a payment plan to get it paid. I am a disabled veteran existing on social security which is why I thought the one price thing was a good idea ! However the next bill was $400.00+ and when I called to question them , I was told they could not possible provide all the services for the price on the contract , but they would work with me , they also asked me to take my contract to the AT&T store so they could get a copy , which I did. I have had the slowest internet you could possibly find at 10mbps and they cannot give a faster service in my area because there is no wiring to do so. They also gave me 2 new cell phones and an exurbanite price considering the Samsung isn't all that great and most places give you a buy one and get one free offer. I finally quit the home phone , and internet and direct tv , I went to Spectrum and so far no problems However AT&T seems to have a problem with giving my a final bill so I can get Spectrum to pay the early termination fee and I can get rid of them . I also want to get rid of them for cell service too as I am always getting messages about data limits and just about anything else they feel like pestering you with ! They said if I quit they want toe total paid on the cell phones they gave me (remember the ones everyone was giving away buy one get one free ?) I told them they have a choice either take monthly payments of I will gladly give their phones back . I am waiting for their answer because I need to know weather to buy my girlfriend a new cell phone or not . I can go to Straight Talk and get great service and unlimited data and they do not bother you with anything ! At 45 bucks a month I don't think you could ask for more , and I have never heard of any dropped calls or any other problem AT&T seems to have so many of ! I will keep you posted , but unless you want overcharged and *** poor service don't consider AT&T ! I can only think AT&T tried to get to big too fast and don't know how to figure out what different divisions are doing ! They may figure it out someday , but who has that kind of time !

Today 29 April 2018 - I walked in to purchase a new phone and possible two tablets - and the sales girl was rude and didn’t give me the time of day! I have purchased at least 6-8 phones at this location and I have had ATT service for over 20 years! I am going to Verizon for the first time- and looking at Samsung’s now! I am so disappointed and pissed - so I’m taking my money somewhere else! Bye Bye ATT

Lies, Lies and they leave you feeling worn, worried, & stuck

On 3/5/18 Late Evening I contacted a AT&T specialist via chat to learn more about the AT&T Next and paying for a new phone in full. The reason being was because for the same phone Best Buy had a promotion for the NEXT that actually came out to be less than the full price through AT&T. Now I couldn't understand how a payment plan would be less than paying full price hence the reason I contacted AT&T. The Specialist basically told me I was better off cost wise paying the full price through AT&T. Therefore I paid the pay in full price. However the next morning I decided to research this more. My findings were that it was a little more then $100.00 less to buy the phone through Best Buy on the Next Plan. Therefore I Immediately contacted AT&T to cancel the order I had placed the night before since it had not shipped yet. After hours of chat and phone calls a Specialist had informed me he could cancel that order and give me a better deal then Best Buy however I had to accept a two year contract. Therefore I took this deal. However while in Chat with this Specialist I received a email stating the first order shipped. I expressed my concern to the Specialist. Here is what he said in regards to the first order and to the tracking. " noop no worries. since you never receive it and you went online. but you were not able to reject it. I have it canceled from here with my manager. in order to place the new order." I asked about how it stops the shipment his reply was "it will send a confirmation to the shipment company with the denied process. And it will stop the process on that device with that charges." Well since there was so many things that already caused me to be concerned I decided to track that order and it still shows it is on its way to me. I then decided to contact AT&T and I was told the order was not canceled. I was explained how I should return it. I complained during that chat and copied what I was told before and then I was sent to a supervisor during the chat. I basically was put in circles for a little over two hours this morning. I called Fedex so I can refuse the delivery. I am so concerned I am going to be charged somehow for the first phone. I honestly feel tricked into the contract on the second phone now. I feel when AT&T tells you they made notes that they are lying because so many times over the past two days I was told about notes that weren't there. I feel worn down from AT&T since I spent hours each day on this issue. I also feel when someone else enters the chat and tells you give them a minute so they could read that they are lying to you. This is because of the having to repeat myself to them several times. I have two different accounts from AT&T right now that I have had for over 15 years however the one is now on contract again so I'm not sure I can do anything but the other I can for sure move. I feel the reason I was tricked into the contract on this one is because they already were concerned I was going to leave them.

When asking why I was being charged for an inactive line they said it was still active. Not usage or data used but still, AT&T rips me off. Beware of this company. They are willing to take your money but no help and no integrity! FOR SURE This is discrimination about my spanish speaking I terminated my line in March 2018. Called to pay final bill and was charged for a line on a tablet that was not used since I get it up. When asking why I was being charged for an inactive line they said it was still active. Not usage or data used but still, AT&T rips me off. Beware of this company. They are willing to take your money but no help and no integrity! Internet portion

AT & T internet sucks big time. It is always kicking us off. It is getting very old. To send a relative an email, it takes me about 20 minutes to write one line as it continues to kick us off. I have to save what I write as a draft after every sentence and it will still kick us off mid sentence sometimes. Don't get their internet service. They are also constantly hounding us to get Direct TV, too. Their representatives are in a store setting up a kiosk like place and even though we say we are not interested, they will continue to follow us around until we tell them, "Do you NOT understand English? We are NOT interested!" We had it at one time and it sucked, so WHY would we even think of getting it again? I have a relative who says NEVER to use their portables to do business. They had nothing but bad luck with them. As much as AT & T charges, their service for the amount of money stinks. When I am through with their mandatory service, I will use another provider. They are getting too big for their britches.
