ATT in Pompano Beach, Florida - At&t Cellular - Billing Beware:

At&t customers and potential customers, be aware that if you decide to switch from AT&T to another cell carrier, you should do it at the end of your billing cycle. If you switch just 1 day into your next billing cycle, you will owe the entire months bill, no pro-rating, period. It will do little good to discuss the issue with a manager/supervisor, as they seem to care even less about customer service, than the first line representative does. Just another fine example of the poor customer service provided by at&t. Learn from the lessons of others, stay as far away from at&t as possible!

Just received the April bill and it went from $192.00 to $134.00. We'll be changing carriers immediately. When we signed up 10 years ago within 2 weeks they slammed us with a charge of over $350 for installation, equipment and whatever else they tacked on - this out of blue, no advance warning this would be part of the 'service'. Have really not been pleased with them since. And internet has gotten sluggish in spite of 'high speed' internet. The word is this is done purposely so one will pay an additional $30 a month for upgrade. *** company.

At&T is the worst company I have ever dealt with it has been seven days to have a landline reconnected due to their error. Same dumb customer reps repeat the same script over and over again like robots. Problem still not solved/transfer over 20 times to different departments and none of them know what to do. I understand why the other companies are surpassing them and now offering home phones. Hopefully their stocks will drop to 10 cents a share, and they will be swallowed up by another company takeover. ATT is one *** of a company that needs to go!

Same thing happened to me.. They disconnected my landline without any authority..

No cancellation number nothing.. I have been on the phone with them for 3 days a total of 15 hours.. They all say we apologize we r here to help U.. Nothing gets resolved..

So unorganized ., one person I was on the phone an hour she has to call me back because she cannot be on the phone more than an hour., the stock is 39. Went up .. I am calling FCC .. They can get all the recorded conversations I had with different reps..

Going to find out board members etc.. I am really shocked at how they conduct business.. My brother is a litigation and contracts lawyer and went to Duke .. He is also going to investigate..

This is really such a travesty.. Good luck to all!!

Do your homework- they are known and have been sued many times in class action cases for deceptive practices, for unfair charges, for unethical business practices, and they will *** to the wall. the words customer service do not exist in AT&T corporation.. Simply search the name, court cases, complaints and go to anywhere else Verizon....Sprint, T Mobile, or a local smaller carrier...but these are the worst! I have asked for work outs, I "OWN" an iPhone free and clear...they refuse to give me the unlock code. They've retaliated in shutting off service, sending messaging to a third (unknown party...then "fixing it remotely from the international office...turning around and blaming the customer). I've been through the BBB and here, next step is file a report with my states regulatory industries and attorney general office. this company is your worst choice and you'll regret it. Personally I never "chose" AT&T -I was happy elsewhere when I was offered a promotion at another company and they required and split cost of mobile svc with AT&T....It was the only "downside" of the job contract.

They lied to me from day one. Customer service is like none I have ever seen. Then they told me I could avoid a charge if I signed up for insurance and I would receive a visa goft card, three years later, nothing, when I asked about it I was informed I could cancel the insurance, that was the answer they gave me.And my monthly fee increased almost every other month, this was all for internet!

btw they also dont tell you the "insurance" you buy will only replace an item with a "refurbished" item. Bet they didnt disclose that did they? I've had workers in my office pick up BRAND NEW iPhones that were DOA (not working) from the store...and there's no Apple store without a plane ride to the state capitol (Hawaii islands)...so they were paying for a new phone and got excuse me "old not fixed ***" that also had issues....

get rid of your insurance its a rip off...

Thank you, yes, I actually got rid of everything to do with the company, I don't have anything to do with them anymore. And I had a friend and another family member who were having problems that left the company also, they didn't care, they acted like they were doing us a favor giving us service, crazy, lol

At&t sucks! Complete waste of my money. Hey if you're going to overcharge for your services fix your towers in this zipcode 78040. Your signal is horrible. I get more of Mexico's signal than the usa's. It's embarrassment for your company to overcharge people for your services if they don't work. I want a repayment of all the months I have been ripped off by your company. Always promising to fix your outdated equipment. The techs say they can't fix the signal because it is out of their hands. That AT&T refuses to send them the equipment to fix it. How is that possible? You're company is too greedy to get our money but doesn't have the money to fix the outdated equipment. Yet they are so eagger to rip people off. Fix it equipment!! #at&t #doesnthelpthecustomers #greedy #company

My phone quit working and they said I didn't have the insurance so I would have to finish my contract on the damaged phone and buy a new one. I paid off my contract and moved to another carrier. My son was still on att. I mailed in his payment and I got a check back for the amount. I asked my son if he switched carriers and he said no. He was traveling for work and sent me a message via laptop if I forgot to pay the bill. Turns out that his phone bill I mailed went to the a uverse acct and that's why I got a check back for the amount of the phone bill. I DON'T have a uverse account!!! By now I have made at least 6 phone calls and they say they are not turning his phone back on until they receive payment. I told them I did a direct payment from my bank account they would have it in two days I have never been late which they could look up and see that that was true and that I needed them to turn my sons phone back on They said no. He went and bought a different phone went with a different carrier. I then got saddled with having to pay his contract off so I have been paying them $25 a month until it's paid they have turned me over to a collections company. This is such a joke. I will never go with this company again. They are hard to deal with if you're good customer pay all your bills everything you're still punished. Manager kept saying that she paid the money on a U-verse account I must've told her at least 15 times I don't have a U-verse account so I don't know how I could've paid it to that all the numbers match my phone everything such a rip off

I just got off of a call to AT&T customer support. I didn't call for a complicated or hard-to-solve problem, but to simply get a replacement remote control sent out to me, as my old unit is failing. This should be a simple, quickly-solved problem. Minimum fuss needed. When dealing with AT&T, however, this simple solution requires a half hour discussion with the customer service agent (that doesn't include the ten minutes I spent on hold, it actually took 30 minutes of voice time with the guy). First, he couldn't find my account with either my phone number or address, even though they haven't changed in the six years that I've been with AT&T. So I give him my account number, and it took him the to next 25 minutes to set up a simple shipping order to get a new remote out to me. Why is it that the smallest problem always takes an eternity to solve when dealing with AT&T, and I do mean ALWAYS. I have never dealt with a company that has worse customer service. Maybe some of my $135 bill each month could be spent improving the system that's in place to help solve customers' problems?

ATT charges different amounts than Contracts & Offers

I Bought A Phone And The Service From Att Almost A Year Ago. The First Month I Started With A $45.00 Monthly Payment, plus the cost of the equipment, totaling according to an offer $101.64. I paid with my card and signed , for which I received a Receipt of $101.64. A few days after that when reviewing my account through internet, I found out that they charged $156.71 instead. But no one never got to fix the problem or knew what happened with the difference of money taken from my account… . The seller employee from ATT said a kind of nervous.., that she didn’t know the reason.. to speak to the manager of the store. (But she wasn’t employee from the store, she was an employee from AT&T..) I even got to contact the Social Media Manager Mr. Mike E. in that moment 4-16-2015. He had told me that even if had make a contract with the seller of ATT, who gave me my Receipt for the payment asked for with my Debit card,” that my purchase and pricing difference were subject to Walmart policies, and if they decide to charge more after I left, that was between Walmarts manager and me”. He told me that he had spoken with the manager already. I know that this is wrong, and no law can defend his point of view, because the Contract was between AT&Ts employee and the client.., and the AT&T employee gave me a receipt. But like they have their people for this kind of “Fraudulent Contracts”.., I finally realized that I didn’t have the time to try to keep defending my rights, because they had the power to do that to a lot of clients. Eventually after a while, I ended up loosing the extra money, for the time that it represented to me, even when up to this moment I still have the Contract and all the evidence. After that, an Employee From Att Suggested that even with the difference of money of my purchase that I had lost..,and what they took out of my account..that it was going to be a good deal to me using an offer that they don’t announce but was there.. Because if I would read in Any Machine Of AT&T Payment, they had the Message That Anyone Was Able To Pay In Advance For The Next 90 Days With A $30.00 Payment. That The Only Difficult Is That I Was Going To Have “Internet Data” For The First Month only, And After That I Was Going To Keep Only With The Unlimitted Calls And Messages. (The internet only through wifi). I realized that the instructions were in my Contract too, in small letters. Besides that I went to one of the payment machines from AT&T, and the instructions were there very clear. So I just gave up for the extra money that they had taken out of my card, for not having the enough time to fight for my rights. So starting the 2nd month I made a payment of $30.00 and effectively I had unlimited calls & messages for 90 days! After that I kept paying $30.00 every 90 days, according to the instructions in any Payment machine of AT&T. But now 11 months after.., I paid as usual the $30.00.., and 28 days after my service was blocked. I tried to contact someone for help.., but it is VERY HARD to find Service with ATT. I went back to were I bought it.., and they told me that they only SELL. That cant help clients.., to try to find Customers Service in the web. After that, it was like a loop.., no help at all. Now in the web someone tells me to dial a 3 digits # from my cell, that it was a free call, and they were going to help me. Ok.., I did, but not only they didn’t help me and told me that I was confused, that they didn’t have that package, and she offered me a tariff of $2.00 a day…, for what I said NO, for much less than $60.00 I was able to find everything unlimited including Data. But it seems that the person changed internally the tariff that I was paying and told me to go to the web again, that I was going to find help. In the web, once they asked for my phone #, they just told me that they couldn’t help me because the system was reflecting that what I was paying was $2.00 a day..= that equals $60.00 a month and $180.00 for 90 days. I told the person that I had my Contract and all the payments history.., that I was able to scan it and send it. But the person told me that what counts was the tariff that was reflected in my phone. Apparently the record of my last 11 months was deleted. Later in a last effort I decided to visit ATT from Ponce Shopping Center, for first time in my life. I walked to try to talk to a lady whos tags name was Noemi . I spoke to her.., and not even for a second she got to look to my face, as is normal when you speak to someone. She wouldn’t even could had been able to see the color of my eyes because she never got to look at them. At the beginning she didn’t even answer.., there was a moment that I got to think that she was deaf or with some psychological problem, for not answering or not looking. A few minutes after “without asking for my name or telephone #”, like showing that she didn’t care.., said.. “LETS SEE IF I HAVE SYSTEM..””.., that was without looking or asking. Later, about 5-7 minutes after, when I was thinking on just leaving.., the lady asked me like in a tired mood, about my tel #. A few minutes more and told me that I dint have the tariff that I was telling her, that the system was showing that I had $2.00 a day. I told her that I had the evidence of my payments of every 90 days and my contract. She didn’t want to look at them. She told me that if I didn’t like it to go with another Company. I understand that clients can receive everything unlimited nowadays for around $30.00 a month.., but what about the legal rights?? Should we give up so easily just because these are very well structurated companies with trained people to deal with this everyday as their job? I DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW AT&T CAN KEEP BUSINESS AND GETTING RICHER WITH SO MANY FRAUDULENTS BUSINESS. DOESN’T EXIST WAYS TO DEFEND THE CLIENTS RIGHTS? I CAN BET THAT THERES THOUSANDS OF CLIENTS PASSING THROUGH THIS SITUATIONS.

Check around the internet. They've been slapped with class action lawsuits before for these deceptive practices.

You might be able to join others and hopefully we can once again try to clean up these unethical corporations. the time is NOW...America is finally standing up to corporate greed, cheating, lying and taking a stand.

I will be happy the day this company sells out to someone better. I dont see them ever caring about the practices..or changing them- they pay small amounts to the lawsuits and keep on as the most dishonest and unhelpful "Service" (sic LOL) provider.
