Customer Service that made me cry | ATT review from Spring, Texas

I'm trying to resolve issues with our business accounts for 5 month already. Still nothing. Representative forwarding me to one another and nothing is being solved. Overboard security policies that don't let operate business effectively. I wish we never started our business with AT&T. Now it looks like there's no way out. We're being billed tremendous amounts for services we don't use. Today I could help it and when another representative started asking me to submit some form again I burst out crying. Why are doing it so difficult for people?

1,000 UNAUTHORIZED Dollars Taken From Bank Account | ATT review from Chicopee, Massachusetts

On Saturday February 6, 2016 I decided to switch from an Iphone 5s to a new Galaxy S6 phone, after experiencing many problems with my device and no longer being able to use it. I also decided to switch from a Virgin Mobile plan to an AT&T 24 month plan. I decided to port my phone number from Virgin to AT&T, after filling out necessary paperwork we encountered problems with porting and with my credit. The manager at the kiosk began making phone calls to AT&T, they began directing him to different extensions. After 2 hours or so of attempting to solve this and making phone calls to AT&T the manager was told I had to put a $500.00 dollar deposit down since I don’t yet have much credit. I made some trips to my bank to deposit the money into my account, came back to the kiosk and gave them my card. My card has a limit and therefore it was denied, my mother was present and thankfully she agreed to use hers. Her card went through with no problem. After a $500.00 deposit and now three hours of attempting to start a plan with AT&T I was cleared for the credit section. The manager, Michael, then restarted the whole process of filling out my information and port number request since we were still having problems. He then began making more phone calls to AT&T, after various transfers to different departments and being put on hold many different times he was then told I had to also put 30% down on the Galaxy S6 ($815.00). I decided there was no point in doing this and in continuing in my attempt to start any type of plan with your company. I had wasted 4 hours by this point, and decided to simply buy an Iphone 6 and connect it to my existing Virgin Mobile plan. The manager himself was left speechless at the ridiculous requests your company made and how long it took them to tell us this. I then went to my bank and found out my mother's money was already on hold, I went back to the kiosk where the manager made yet many more calls to your company to get my money back. I decided to try the next day, and upon checking my card as well I found out not only was my Mothers card charged for $ 500.00 but my card as well, which has a limit and was “denied” was charged of $500.00 and it was also on hold. I then proceeded to tell my bank about what occurred and got replies such as “ I was going to open an AT&T plan but I think I’ll also changed my mind”. They told me to go back to the kiosk and notify AT&T and the manager at Costco, upon telling him that my card AND my mother’s card were both charged they were left undignified and also just as upset as I at how bad this situation had gotten. They a couple more long calls to your company and yet again we were transferred over and over, it seemed the people who were supposed to “help” me did not know what they were doing. I was then told by AT&T that because the money was on hold they couldn’t do anything but was reassured that since my card was denied the money would not come out of my account. I also mentioned how my mother had checks coming out of her account for bills and could not have it go into a negative because then she would have to pay the bank for covering her checks and was left helpless, with no answer to my questions. I went back and forth from my bank and Costco Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday morning my mother’s account had $500.00 taken out, sending her account into a negative of almost $270.00. Not only that but her bank had to cover two checks for a total of $70.00, which is required of her to pay out of her pocket. I then checked my account and if all this weren’t enough, AT&T also took out $500.00 from my account. My bank teller told me to go back to the kiosk, call your company and notify Costco. When I arrived and called AT&T I again was transferred to many different people who knew not what to do except tell me what I already knew “ Your card was charged for $500.00”. I went back to my bank, an affidavit has been conducted for both my account and my mother’s. Not only has this caused a great deal of stress, wasted time and loss of money but I wasn’t able to buy a new phone and have been without one for almost a week now.

Att Account Review

I never was told by AT&T that an email was set up to log on to my account online. It took 1.5 hours to finally resolve the issues. The customer service rep was foreign and constantly interrupted me when I was trying to either ask or answer questions. Extremely incompetent customer service. Had to keep going back and asking questions .it was frustrating and terrible experience.

Issue HAS NOT been resolved. In fact i met a man from AT&T who gave me a "special " number to call. No resolution! In fact in another story that I want to relate is that the last time I spoke with the company regarding a better deal similar to what they gave other people was at the end of December. At that time I told them I did not want my services bundled. Shortly thereafter I received communique from AT&T that said that they were bundling my services. I am mediately telephone them and stated that I did not authorize that. The representative looked at the previous notes and said that of course it says specifically in these notes that you didn't want your services bundled. Representative stated that they would unbundle them. When I called again yesterday my services were still bundled. Therefore the last two times I spoke with a representative they didn't do or did what they weren't supposed to!

Have 16 DSL modems to return, received3 differing instructions to return | ATT review from Zachary, Louisiana

We are a company that provides housing for our staff and tried ATT. They are a night mare from a billing and service prospective. I cannot get a straight answer from them. Now trying to return these modems, was told to go to UPS store-ATT has an account with them. 2 stores could not assist. I need a code, not account# or phone number of line of service as originally told. What a joke. Fed up. You get transferred more than 10 times trying to call and inquire, as this is not "their"department. Heck, they even have a "NoComplex"dept. at ATT for issues, and this dept. cannot assist.

AT&T is clearly a company that thrives off of the monopolization of services that have been deemed a basic human right by the U.N. By hoarding territories that they refuse to service and according to their own representatives, have zero plans to service they block residents of outlying areas from receiving valuable services that should be available to every citizen of their so called area of service. What services are these you ask? Something as basic as a landline telephone service. The hard working citizens of these small rural communities are not asking for something as advanced as U-Verse internet service. All we would like is the ability to once again have landline telephones in our homes. Why you ask? Because AT&T has also laid claim to the area in terms of internet service, blocking other companies who have stated they would be happy to service us so long as AT&T were willing to relinquish the territory. Here I repeat, this is a territory they have ZERO plans to service per their own agents in response to complaints already filed. At least through having a hard wired phone service provided by this company that claims to service our area, residents would have the option of another provider who could assist in our endeavor to bring outlying areas into the new millennium - something in which AT&T as claimants of the territory should have done a decade ago. Our children are blocked from valuable educational resources through the internet because of the overwhelming greed of one company. Our lives are put at risk because we can't have landline telephone service to use in the event of cell phone service being knocked out due to bad weather - which is something that happens here frequently. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly would not give a company that focuses more on worrying about initial expense than they do the lives of the customers they so adamantly claim to care about. For shame, AT&T and for shame on the BBB for being bought out on giving such a downright greedy and self-serving company an A+ rating.

AT&T is gaining territory because they are a black ops corporation. They work for the "corporation" heads and your better off without their mind numbing services. If they had no contracts with citizens they would still be a multi-billion dollar company from their government contracts..

We may be better off without their services - I know they certainly aren't my preferred service provider even with all of their business practices - but they are the only option and we can't even get anything from them because of their refusal of service or territory relinquishment. It is immensely frustrating to not be able to call in a power outtage when storms take out the cell towers or to have to drive twenty minutes into town during library hours to do virtually any sort of download - even cell phone updates that require a wifi connection.
