The charges come on a seperate page and labeded at the the top USBI with all your account info Bill is created BY AT&T. Billed on behalf of Cheap2dial, looks like AT&T too me. By the Federal Protection Act AT&T claims they are here to Protect my account Thats a BIG B. S. Story!! Only want to SCAM ya over and over. I'm a PISSED consumer! How long can they get away with this ? I see a class action on it's way AT&T should be included because they are the Host for this SCAM!

I switched to AT&T Uverse in April 2010 my first bill was double the quoted price and every month since then it's just gone down hill. I truly believe there is a billing scam going on at AT&T.

It's like the promotions dept doesn't speak to the billing dept.

After reading all the complaints online I see this is normal billing practice for AT&T. What agency do I report them to?

Two missed appointments, only excuses

DSL Line starts flaking out, dropping the connection in intervals from several hours to 30 seconds. I run the diagnostics and gee, power cycling the modem, connecting directly to the computer, all that jazz only remedies it until the next time. Into the Modem diagnostics screen and I see the SN Margin (dB) at 13, rarely up to 14 (15 is what is considered marginally good), as I monitor I see it start to waver, then drop, finally going negative, boom, no connection. Time to call in the repair crew, this is obviously a problem on the line (it has flaked before at the beginning of the rainy season). I go through the *** of voice mail and get a live person on the phone and give them all my data, do the diagnostic song and dance and BOOM, they disconnect. Hey, they took an alternate number to call me back if that happened, I wait half an hour, no call back. Back into the *** of voice mail, I get another live person, again through the diagnosis script, after two LOOOOONNNGGG pauses as they run diagnostics on my line, they confirm that they need to escalate this. Another long pause as they transfer it over to the person who can make an appointment, they emphasize that they need a live person at the residence in case they need access. Appointment made, 4-8 Friday, I can try and get some work done as I wait for them. Friday comes, the line is especially flakey, I am rebooting it at 5 minute intervals. 8:00 comes, no technician. 9:30 comes, I call them and I get a very apologetic customer service rep who says that the dispatcher will call back that night or next morning... Next morning I receive a robocall telling me telling me that my appointment has been moved 'forward' to between 12 and 5 that afternoon. About a half hour later a live person calls with the same information and makes a very lame excuse as to why they did not make the appointment. Their excuse, the riots in Oakland. Their offices are in San Ramon and my home is in Castro Valley, so their excuse it that they could not come to an appointment because there are people causing trouble two cities and a range of hills the other side of where I am. I let this obvious lie pass because I want to get things dealt with. My guess, the real reason was probably a greater devotion to happy hour than to customers. Their response to a question as to why they could not at least give me a call to tell me they were blowing it off? "Well, that should not have happened." 5:00 comes and goes... No call, not technician, line still pogoing. I call them again at 5:30, go through same gauntlet of bad voice mail again (but by now I know all the prompts so I do not have to wait for all the options) and after 10 more minutes on hold, get told that "that should not have happened". I ask to talk to a manager and get told that the manager is busy. Gee, with this level of service, you think they are busy? They promise that the manager will me as soon as they get free... three and a half hours later I'm truly classified as a pissed consumer and need to vent. We came to using ATT for internet because we hated Comcast for their smug jacking of rates and dilution of service, now I'm looking back at changing back.

i hear a ton of stories about IPhone dropping calls just because you hold it wrong

you dont get charged for 3G at least i havent been charged yet as far as i know verizon is the only one that charges like that and i believe its $10 a month for 4G connectivity

and the water damage most phones have a strip that turns red when moisture hits it. So they dont have to take it completely apart to tell if its been dropped into water. Unfortunately if you sweat alot and you keep your phone in your pocket it will also turn the strip red and they have no way to tell it apart from liquid spill or total immersion.

Att customer service-civility is dead

Ok, so im not an att customer per se because I agree that they are overpriced and just not worth the hassle. I am an iphone customer but with T-Mobile.....:-). anyways, I'm complaining about att customers. They are the worst customers ever who think they are owed everything and think we should bend over backwards to please them. Ha! Yes, it is our job to provide service to you, answer your questions, things of that nature. I am not your punching bag whom you can curse out, yell at and drive all your frustrations into. Ask your question, get your answer and then hang up so I can move on to the next customer who might actually be worth my time. The biggest inside joke at our center is how att subscribers are a bunch of privilaged *** who dont want to pay for their bill and want credit for everyting. "my call dropped, credit my account". "I dropped my phone in the toilet and because I'm a customer I want a new phone and dont want to pay for it". Oh you'd be surprised how many people believe that just because they are paying for phone service they're entitled. If you break your phone, how is that our fault? Why are we responsible for your stupidity? If I crash my car, I'm not going to go back to the dealership and demand another car on them. C'mon now. You should have bought insurance. After working as a CSR, I can clearly see that civility is dead.

ATT call forwarding runaround

Here is a letter of reply to AT&T about remote call forwarding -- ------ Dear Krissy, I'm so pleased to meet you, and so pleased that you feel my frustrations from the bottom of your most sincere, corporate-scripted heart. Why, here it is Wednesday and you still haven't turned on remote call forwarding on my home phone. The only reason I need this feature is because my phone is being forwarded to the wrong number; I am away for a week, in a remote area; and ATT in its sweetest, most pastoral bovine sessile tranquility can't bring themselves to correct the problem. So I'm willing to pay for a feature I don't need, just to fix it. I've been trying to get ATT to do what should have been done last Saturday. But all that I've been hearing and reading about are excuses why ATT can't do a thing about it. I know, I know - it's out of your corporate hands. (Those hands are tied up anyway, aren't they, writing those corporate free-speech checks in Washington? Believe me, I completely understand your frustrations at having to bother with all those annoying little customers.) Each day there seems to be a new person, with a new excuse about why that particular person cannot do what obviously they are able to do, if they really wanted to help. Tell me, isn't it true that Lily Tomlin is still working for ATT as Ernestine the operator? It's really too bad Verizon doesn't offer home service in California, isn't it? Then ATT might be more inclined to move Ernestine to some position that doesn't involve public relations. I have been a telephone customer at this address for over thirteen years. I pay ATT over $100 a month ($170 if you include the iPhone)...and you need to send me a password for the remote access forwarding by regular mail?? While I am in a remote area of Mexico? Gee, that's really swell. A measure designed not by ordinary bovines, but by really first-rate, prize-winning bovines. The kind you find at the county fair. I'm already getting emails from *my* customers asking why my telephone line doesn't work. But I take a different approach here from what ATT does. I don't tell them that I cannot do anything to help them. I don't send them emails or letters by regular mail, telling them that I completely understand their frustration. Unlike ATT, I actually need to worry about keeping my customers. So please accept my apologies, Krissy, but I must reluctantly decline your sweet, scripted corporate-malarkey apologies. I'd be very happy to have a nice chit-chat with you about all those features you think might be appropriate to add to my account, but it's not so easy to do that at the moment. The cell towers aren't so plentiful here and ATT's per-minute rates aren't the best. But maybe you could still do me a favor, since you so obviously feel my pain and have my best interests at heart. You could take this particular concern to your bosses' boss, and let him know that one of the non-executive, non-cigar-chomping, non-five-martini little-people-without-the-corner-office-downtown customers has run into a problem with ATT's prize-winning bovine dictums, and might actually need to have some real help. Thanks *so* much for your obvious concern. Your loyal customer, Don ---- original correspondence ---- >Greetings Donald, > >Thank you for your email regarding the features on your account. Att runnig a scam and lying

Att went through my homeowner's association (Kevin Matlock was the salesman) telling homewoners that Comcast had lost the cable contract and ATT uverse had the contract now and all home owners needed to switch service before January 1, 2011. This was a LIE. After we had U-verse installed the homeowners association sent out an email advising all home owners of the Att scam. I have been trying to get Att to come and take out the U-verse and hook up the comcast again because they took all the Comcast cables with them. I have talked at approximately 20 people with Att and they keep putting me off and transferring me to differant people. I finally got to Eric Watts in Atlanta who is supposed to be taking care of this and he won't call me back. Att has no interest in doing the right thing and nobody has the authority or interest in fixing mistakes their people made. Please DO NOT install Att U-verse, the company's customer service is horrible.

AT&T worst costumer service

I had a lot lot of problem with AT&T from past 3 weeks nearly 150 hours . I tried to add a line for the first time through there website, it generated a web order number for me. Next day i got a mail that my order needs an attention, when i called them, they changed my address and said its in active status and money was deducted from my bank account. As i dint get any confirmation for 3 days..i called them again and they said that my order is cancelled because of some area code problem. But then they dint return my money. Again one of the costumer representative helped me and placed a new order with new number but at the end it also had the same area code problem. At last supervisor had helped me and issued me phone and got my phone next day. Today they shipped two phones for the orders which were cancelled previously, And charge on my account was not removed. I had to be on phone for 5 hours continuously and costumer service will keep on transferring me from one department to another department. They say that our department do not handle this and they transfer to another department. AT&T costumer service is worst. No one knows anything. Representative says that my order was in pending because zipcode is not in market. What does that not in market means for them. They does not know that the new line number will be issued with the area code where primary account is opened and we need to give that zipcode. Only supervisor knows about that and it created whole of this problem.

AT&T is the slowest email service I ever heard of

I have been usint AT&T DSL service for about 3 years and it is getting so slow that it is almost quicker to use USPS. I have been waiting for some information since yesterday afternoon from a company in Denver, Colorado and I am in California. I just called them and they confirmed that they had sent me 3 messages, none of which have come through yet, 24 hours later. This is not the first time with them, but probably the last. I am no longer stifled with a contract with AT&T so I don't have to worry about any problems in that area.

Faulty dsl and false charges

After months of either no services or not able to connect I had no choice to disconnect services from at&t. Id had had no problem in my previous apartment but something was wrong with the lines in the apartment I transfered to. I attempted several times through at&t and my apartment manager to fix it, it came down to having to replace wiring which was a cost I could not afford, I had had at&t for over a year, now that i canceled they are trying to bill me for early disconnect $100 dollars. I need some legal help they are the ones who cost potential income cause my plans to get my artwork and talent on the net in hopes that it could lead to either selling, or a job went down the drain. Help what can I live on low income now, I paid my bills now they are trying find a way to collect money I don't even owe

at&t will go out of business

at&t is the worst company in the history of the world. at&t is unbelievably horrible. If you call at&t it is a waste of time because you end up just getting passed along and hung up on. You can spend hours each day just trying to get the simplest things fixed. In the end it doesn't get fixed. We lost service with at&t over a month ago and we still haven't got service back. We have probably spent on average an hour per day with unhelpful people at at&t. Do not use this company. -Nathan

There's nothing wrong in hoping/wishing!

Yes, AT&T really sucks. I moved away from them 4 years ago, and refuse to give them business - period! I could wait for the iphone until another carrier got the iphone - it didn't kill me, see ;)

I'd LOVE to see AT&T go out of business.

AT&T are legalized outlaws in my opinion

Why is it that at&t can tell the consumer that they can only use their service equipment, have to sign a two year contract w large cancellation fees, if they want phone service., YEt they sell you a phone that only lasts one year, won't let u upgrade because ur not eighteen months into ur contract(lures people in by giving phones away, only as close to expiration of contract)then spues lies about their insurance replacing ur phone. Not telling u its refurbished *** that still costs a $50 deductible. ALL others utilities are regulateed, and so should the crocks at AT&T be.

Worst mistake ever i hate at&t

at&t is by far the worst company i ever signed and agreement with and my biggest mistake . as a prior sprint customer i came to at&t for the iphone , which they have no insurance for and dont tell you until afterwards. on top of that , when you add a line or upgrade a line they send your terms of agreement via email which is unprofessional. not everyone checks an email and it should be printed and handed to you in store. also my bill is a different price every month . there reps are liers they each tel you something different . i really wish i wasnt locked into this agreement. their saying i have a $305 cancellation fee which is higher than any other company.

First of all did you ask when buying phone if device has insurance? I bet you didn't and your bill price is never the same it depends if you have overage usage and also tax and goverment fees.
