At&T No One Working | ATT review from Miami, Florida

let me first start by saying . i tried to help my 79 year old mother in law deal with her phone .... She is unable to see the cell phone numbers , due to eye site lost. The office recommends putting a land line in her nursing home room ... we did that on jan.12 2012.. they took money out of her account on feb for the entire months service ... they took 168 out on march for service ... i called and they told me 168 was for shut off fee.. i explained about start up home service they said it was a different department sorry. i told them they over charged me for jan. they said they would credit bill , BUT they could not issue credit because it was a closed account ...??????What The *** . the company does not issue checks back he said ... please call my supervisors who is not working today on MONDAY ????? Att Deal

Had DSL forced to take U verse. | ATT review from Salisbury, North Carolina

When we switched our home phone to a cell phone (different company) my DSL from AT&T was stopped by them. I called, got switched to four different people and they would not reinstate my DSL. They cancelled that contract and said I had to get Uverse. It would come in a few days. Three days later no U verse. Called them back andHe said I was scheduled for installation in two weeks. He changed that to 24 hours. 24 hours go by no U verse. Called again and was told that I was scheduled for installation one day earlier, or 23 days more to go without internet service. Told them I wanted to cancel the service and got transfered to the "retention department" she hung up on me! Called again, got offered a free month which I turned down and finally got it cancelled. Needless to say I will never use AT&T again

Att Installation

AT&T's 3G Network is very unreliable | ATT review from Fort Thomas, Kentucky

I live in Cincinnati, Ohio and AT&T's 3G network here is awful. Even after their " tower upgrade" last year, I am still getting a lot of dropped calls, poor reception, interference and crackling in every call I make, the voice sounds garbled, I don't receive text or voice messages, and the internet is very slow. It doesn't matter what time of day it is. I am tired of having to call their tech support constantly. I have called them four times, and yet nothing is changed. They obviously refuse to fix the problems here. And from what I've read, many other people are having the same problems here. It's ridiculous! Go with Verizon, you won't have these same problems. When will AT&T wake up and upgrade their poor unreliable network?

Att, terrible in every way

I am currently on hold with att repair for over 2 hours. I have had nothing but problems with this company since switching to them 1 1/2 years ago They lie , cheat and give the worst service ever. I have had multiple service problems with phone, internet and direct tv. With the latest incident I made a report on 3/15. They said they would be out on 3/16. They called on 3/16 and said they could not make it here and would be out on 3/17. Of course nobody showed up! The web site gives no indication of when they may show up and nobody ever answers in the repair department. Does any one have any idea of what legal recourse comsumers have?

AT&T's ridiculously irresponsible customer service | ATT review from Los Angeles, California

i have a small restaurant. i had a phone line trouble, so i called the repair and technician A came. he told me that the phone line inside the wall need to be repleaced and told me that there would be a charge for him to do that. i didnt have an access to the room where he needed to do the work, and also i didnt know if it would be my responsibility or landlord's, so he didn't do any repair and left me a card to call him when i want him to officially do the work. about a week later, i called him to do the work he never answered the phone nor called me back for a long time. i gave up and called the regular repair service and tech B came. and tech B told me a different procedure to fix this and suggested me to get tech A back to do the work. around that time i realized that i have weird fee charged on the att bill. i called and asked, the rep told me that its the charge for the repair service of tech A!! the fee was $175 total and broken into 3months payments(no idea why). i had no explanation about this charge from A, nor invoice, any paper work, absolutely nothing!! i called and filed a complaint, the rep told me that someone will call me to solve the problem and i dont have to pay the fee untill the problem solved, but told me to pay just the regular bill, so i paied the bill except the "repair fee". nobody ever called regarding this and the fee is still on my bill. back to tech A. again after a loooong time ignorance, tech A came to the store, out of the blue. i told him about the "fee" and he said he will take that off my bill, and also said that he needs to get inside the nextdoor tenant to see if he can fix the phone line problem. so we scheduled to do that on monday(few days after). i got the key for the nextdoor and waited for him....... he never showed up... called... called... called... called... called... for the WHOLE 2 WEEKS!! he dissappeared again. i got nothing repaired but $175 for NOTHING!!! every time i call att, i have to go through "yes""no" or "press1""press2" then finally talk to one then get transfered to another, explain the whole thing all over again... and nobody really take care the trouble. i dont even know how many different att people i have to deal with for this one trouble. instead of getting fixed, the trouble just became bigger. this is one of the most ridiculous thing i have ever experienced in my whole life. if att customer service rep see this, please email castleintheskyla@gmail.com. i just want to get it over with asap. thanks

I know EXACTLY where you are coming from. If you ever have the opportunity to observe an AT&T call center you would understand immediately why their customer service is the way it is.

NOTHING gets taken care of unless the inept, incompetent, lackluster, non motivated, English as a 3rd or 4th language half-wit creates a "case", and even then, good luck, because the supervisors are trained to give you attitude, unless you have a high LFT, that "Lifetime Value", because if you've been with them for several years, they will try to keep you as a customer.

Pretty sad all these "social media managers" are responding to this website in order to resolve ongoing issues..., the fat cats at the top of the AT&T food chain couldn't care less as long as the bottom line keeps them in their affluent neighborhoods with huge bank accounts. It's a joke.

I am done with AT&T | ATT review from Akron, Ohio

I am a 15 year old girl who has MEMORIZED the att tech support number. Isn't that reciculous? They put a block on the amount of movies we can watch in a month and said "We went over it" we don't WANT A BLOCK on out TV! We have watched 2 movies this month. 2! I was on hold for 10 minutes, got through to a person saying "we have to send someone out to fix it so have one of your parents come home" My parents both work. THEY CANT JUST COME HOME! So they sent me to someone who could "mechanically fix it" she couldn't. So they sent me to someone who could. He couldn't so they sent me to someone that could. I said I just want to rent my *** movie. She then yelled at me saying "I have a 17 year old son and he would NEVER use profanity like that! I raised him better than that!" All I could say was, well Ma'am, you didn't raise me. I just want to rent a movie. She continuously yelled at me. Since when is ATT the profanity police!? She then says, well because your underaged I can not help you. I had been on the phone then for a good hour and a half, and that is when I started screaming "ARE YOU *** KIDDING ME?" I have been on the phone with these idiots for HOW long and they have the audacity to tell me because I am 15 they can't do anything. It's bull. I talked to my mom. We are switching back to Time Warner. No matter how *** they are, it can NOT be worse than AT&T. This is BS.

I'm very disappointed in AT&T's poor customer service too. My boyfriend moved over a yr ago to an area where there is no AT&T coverage.

He was able to keep his email address though which he uses everyday to pay his bills online etc. The other day he was unable to log into his account and thought his internet provider was having problems. After waiting one day, he contacted AT&T and guess what? The person he talked to said his email address and everything connected to it had been "deleted" by AT&T.

No forewarning or apologies were given. He spoke with the manager who provided him with a wrong number to call to address the problem. My boyfriend called the manager back (his name was Cesar) and asked him to intervene and the manager said he would call my boyfriend back by the afternoon. It's been over a day now and no one has called him back.

As a result of this poor treatment my boyfriend says he will never sign with AT&T again. Is that the image this company wants?

AT&T Representative Lied | ATT review from Athens, Georgia

I signed up for iPad 3G service for 30 days at a cost of $14.99. in trying to cancel the automatic renewal, I accidentally cancelled the service after only two days. I called AT&T to try to have it reinstated. The representative told me to reinstate it by setting up the account again and said she would immediately reverse the second $14.99 charge. She said she would call back to confirm. She never reversed the charge, never called back, and when I tried to call her back they saif there was no way to reach a specific representative. AT&T inoe refused to reverse the charge even though the only reason I paid a second time was because the representative specifically told me to do so. I spoke with a manager who said there was nothing she could do.
