PEOPLE: Whatever you do if you are a Verizon customer - please do not switch to AT&T - they will give you a big sales pitch that they will give you up to $650 per line but do not tell you that it is in credits and that you WILL end up with a whopping bill from Verizon or whichever carrier you have - Ask the right questions - make sure they are telling you all the facts - all they want to get people to switch so they get the credit - they will do anything to get you to switch - but buyers beware of the big bill you will get and no recourse

ATT - Mislead

I went into Walmart in Fayette, Alabama where there was a salesman for direct tv. I was looking to switch from dish but wasn’t quite ready at that time. He went through everything said we will give you $225 to pay off dish early termination fee, plus you get this unlimited data plan and will save money on it. So I was going to save money on my satellite have a better plan at a minimal lower payment. I signed up took the sheet to the att store in fayette alabama and she said yes you will save about 5 dollars but will have unlimited data a better plan. I got my first bill it was significantly higher, I called and they said oh this is just one time prorated charges, the next month it was high again. I called back and the response was off course it’s going to be more it’s a better plan. Still no resolution, and the kicker is that they sent me a $225 Walmart card. I don’t want the wal mart card I want the prepaid card to pay dish off with. So now if I cancel dish they are gonna charge my card 300 dollars, so I am paying two satellite bills. Stay away from att and direct tv.

ATT - Time wasted with four hour "window" for service

Work order # 358195361343. LOOK IT UP. I live in south Florida, hurricane country, and I am not referring to the University of Miami football team. I wanted to change back to a hard-wired landline. I thought that I already had a hard-wired phone but unbeknownst to me that WHEN I SIGNED ONTO UVERSE I WAS SWITCHED TO A DIGITAL DEVISE. Hard-wired is more dependable here during high winds than a telephone that is connected to the internet. Your service is dependent on FP&L electricity. But of course it is cheaper for your company to consolidate your services and not accommodate the safety or convenience of the customer. We all know that you come "first" not the customer, no matter what your marketing people try to stuff down our throats. I was told I would be given a four-hour "window" to wait for a technician. Your SOP. I am so tired of having my valuable time wasted by a company that has no sense of organization or empathy with the customer. You couldn't care less and please don't think that it doesn't show. We all know it out here. The bottom line is the only factor that truly interests your type of corporation, and cloacking your company's image with phrases that emphasize "concern" for the customer is ludicrous and achingly transparent. Ask your COO to wait for service for four hours and see how well he/she takes it! How dare you demand that I accommodate myself to you to that extent. The robber barons are back. I recognize a monopoly when I see it. And we don't have a choice anymore out here. And you guys don't want regulation!!! Watch out! We've had it! Janet Malley Richard Fort Lauderdale, FL

This all started in July 2017 when I opened my AT&T phone and cable bill I usually pay around 180.00 per month This bill was 244.73 I called AT&T right away and was told I purchased movies on the tv This never happened I was also told by the lady she has been receiving these type of phone calls all day she then gave me another number to call I got ahold of a man named Zane and told him about my bill and what the lady told me about her receiving these type of phone calls all day He then ask me for my account number and put me on hold for a minute When he got back on the phone he told me since I was such a good customer He could give me the same package I have now plus internet service for 145.00 per month But the only way he could give me this deal was for me to pay the full 244.73 He also said if I agree to this he would send me a rebate check for 62.00 in my next months bill I agreed.In my next months bill it is now 269.03 and my rebate check is 33.28.I called AT&T right away and was told they have no record of this and Zane was not Authorized to give me this package And said but Zane can Authorize a Rebate Check give me a break and I hung up. After cooling off a while I called AT&T back and got almost the same answer. I then Filed a complaint with the FCC . The next day AT&T is calling me SEVERAL times even the PRESIDENT OF AT&T is calling his name is GEORGE MASON leaving messages stating someone from AT&T will call me and try to resolve this matter. I talked to a Mark Huston at AT&T and I tried to explain what Zane and I agreed on he told me I could not have that package But if I agreed to my original contract he would take off the NFL package which I never ordered and take off 40.00 a month for a full year I did not agree with that he then told me AT&T has thousands of employees and he did not know Zane. A couple days later my phone service stopped working and I need my phone because I live and take care of a Mentally Handy capped Disabled Adult and I need my phone for Emergency Calls if needed. I called AT&T and got a lady on the phone I told her my phone was not working she ran a test and said she would set up a repair man to come out and I ask her if I got get someone here ASAP because of my situation she said OK and made the repair that evening between 4pm and 8pm I waited no one showed up. I called the next day and the Recording said I see you have a repair are you calling about that repair I said yes nobody showed up and the Recording said lets see if I can help with that and another lady got on the phone and I told her I had a repair yesterday and no one showed up she said she was sorry about that and made another repair that same day between 1pm and 4pm I waited no one showed. I called again the next day and now a lady is telling me that there is a problem with a cable in my area and somebody from AT&T will call me with in 24hrs Never Happened. The next day I call AT&T and a lady told me the same thing I waited for that call Never happened. I then called The President of AT&T GEORGE MASON I got his number after he contacted me after I filed a complaint with the FCC I left him a message he has not returned my phone call yet very Unprofessional. I then had a friend call AT&T for me and she got ahold of a man named GERADE she told him she worked for HOSPICE and 17 minutes after that phone call my Phone and Internet is back on and 30 minutes later a repair man from AT&T shows up After my phone and internet is back on I told him everything is working now then I ask him has there been any problems with the phone lines in my area in the last few days he said no and before my phone was back on I ask a few of my neighbors and was told by them they all had phone service.This tells me they can shut your service off and on from their desk. A few days later my phone now can only be used for Emergency calls only DO YOU SEE WHAT I AM GETTING AT. Since all of this Now my Cable is off my phone can only be used for Emergency calls only DO YOU SEE HOW THEY ARE PLAYING GAMES but it is no game to me My friend who is Mentally Disabled enjoys watching the Television cant even do that. WE ALL NEED TO MAKE A STAND AGAINST THESE FOLKS AND PUT A END TO IT IF YOU ARE HAVING THESE KIND OF ISSUES DONT STOP KEEPING AFTER IT WRITE TO THE FCC THE FTC AND IF THAT DONT WORK WRITE YOUR PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP I DID.

ATT - At & T providing false information.

AT & T extended/gave me a new DIRECT TV contract without my knowledge and consent for an additional 2 years. It was NEVER disclosed to me at any time. I initially called the service provider 8/14/17 to move a TV cable connection from one room to the other. They advised me that my receiver was outdated and that they would replace my receiver with another one, at NO charge. I received my bill and not only are they charging me $15.00 monthly fee for a receiver that I DID NOT want, and they offered to me, but they EXTENDED my contract which was already fulfilled (effective 1/2017). My original 2 years contract was completed in January of 2017, so I was not obligated to continue with their cable service. AT & T deliberately misled me and lied, that the replacement receiver was free and I would be not be under any additional obligations monetary or contractually. I was already out of my contract term in January of 2017. They need to terminate my DIRECT TV contract without penalty, because I DID NOT authorize a new contract, authorize an extended contract, or any additional monies to be billed to me. This is misleading to consumers, and providing false information to customers.

ATT - Where's IT

worst internet service I have ever had to experience. your services is giving me ulcers. I cant study for my nursing for the computer keep shutting down ever 5 seconds and trying to reboot. It's not my computer I just had it serviced. I have had a dad experience with AT&T. Once my contract is over wit Direct TV you can this *** service. I tried to tough it out hoping it will get better, but it's been 2 years now. I don't understand how you can have IT but no IT workers who can see the poor connection. I rather pay more money for better service than to pay little for nothing,

I wrote about how deceptive they are, after I wrote about my experience with them , they had the nerve to send out another bill through bill collector to try to collect that $138.00 they say we owe them. I refuse to pay them. They should take that off the $200 we were promised. We are not going to pay for deceptive sales. So I guess that Att will still be waiting for their money in the sum of $138.00, when they should just throw this $138.00 out and take a lost. We took a lost when we did not receive the speed we were promised, and yes we also had experience when it rained a lot our phone lines was not working, this has happened 6 times an we had to wait to be serviced. ATT - Mental anguish

I have been with ATT for 12 years at least and I talked my husband into going with ATT before we were married. He should come to att because of the fact that TMOBILE was so horrible to deal with on a monthly basis. We have been promised and lied to so many times that I have lost count...I have talked to some reps of att that were truly very helpful but, when I have had to call back for issues with my bill I will get a customer service rep that are the RUDEST people on the planet OR they can't speak ENGLISH!!! I work in the customer service industry and I KNOW how a customer is supposed to be treated and THIS ISN"T IT!!!! I wish that I had never asked my husband to switch companies!!! They lie more then a *** RUG!!! Every time I call I get different information OR they don't have my previous information and I HAVE to provide it for them....I promise I will tell EVERYONE I know how bad of a company ATT?DIRECT TV is with their customers My husband has stock and I told him to sell it for the pennies it was worth......We should have just gone to BOOST mobile or STAYED with TMOBILE because hopefully they wouldn 't just LIE TO MY FACE to tell me I was going to get something (visa CC) that they NEVER planned to give me in the first place!!! IM MORE THEN PISSED IM IN MENTAL ANGUISH and I am going to look into speaking to my attorney for all the problems they have caused me and my husband!!!!
