Went to Apple store to buy phone. Couldn’t process upgrade — error message was that I had combined wireless and Uverse billing.
Called AT&T store and told them what I wanted to do. Asked if they would match Apple trade-in price for old phone. Told they would match. When got to store told the store could only give me $80 but they would credit monthly bill for the rest.
Everything processed, ready to settle bill and then told had to buy more in store to equal $80. This not the way $80 credit had been presented, so told them to cancel the transaction. Called AT&T and told them wanted separate billing and why. Wait a few days.
Back to Apple store. AT&T now said not eligible for upgrade as I was new customer. Wound up in loyalty department via phone call by Apple. Told it would take IT to make change to override.
Should be done in several days. Hours and hours on this, no phone, and no faith I will ever get one from AT&T
Reason of review: Poor customer service.
Monetary Loss: $200.
