I'm going to post the letter detailing my complaint to AT&T's CEO. Enjoy. Mr. Stephenson, My wife and I were AT&T customers for a long time. Initially we were happy customers of Cingular, then became AT&T members when they bought out Cingular. At&t resently let someone open not 1 but 2 accounts using my wifes indentity. She has a 7 year alert on her account with the 3 major credit reporting services. Her name is flagged with At&t not to let anyone open an account with her name, but they did anyway. VESTA AT&T is illegally billing my VISA card. I never bought anything from them. I contacted VISA and got a refund. These guys are crooks. I did a search for them and found them on pissed consumer and decided to add my comments. I called AT&T to order a new phone. The customer service pulled up someone else's account. I ask three times during the conversation if she was sure this was my account? She responded yes. When I received the conformation email it had someone elses information not mine. I called the next day and they told me not to worry about it, just reorder the phone since no activity was showing up on my account. Apparently they shut off this... Read more

Currently a wireless AT&T customer. I tried to sign up for Internet in my home on line to get the deal they advertised for $24.95 per month for 12 months. Spent at least a couple of hours on this and got nowhere. They buried the bit about the 250GM data usage limit in the legalease. AT&T had CITI Bank send out Pension Checks. They sold out to Fidelity Service Center: 1800-416-2363 They refuse to send check in timley fashion. Reported this to them 6-7 times, with different story told to us about why it has not arrived, 7-8 times now. At end of month 27-31st , the pension funds arrive for many years. just fine. Stay away from this company. I have never received even close to the promised speeds for upload. They of course blamed it on my wiring how bout when I connect directly to their pole, even then no help and transfer *** cause their reps do not have the training to support a consumer. Even asked for supervisor and received none. Read and enjoy. I suggest if you are able to go with any other provider do so, AT&T is not what it used to be. Chat... Read more
