Racist, abusive customer service agents here in Honolulu make dealing with AT&T --- known around the country as the wireless provider ranked WORST in customer satisfaction and network quality ---a nightmare. If you are military, expect nothing but contempt from AT&T's local staff.
Beware of long term contracts. Read your bill closely every month, because phantom charges appear out of nowhere, and getting them removed from your bill takes hours of waiting on hold. And get a backup phone from Verizon so that AT&Ts shoddy network and frequent dropped calls don't leave you stranded. Whatever you do, don't ask for help from customer service in AT&T stores --- they will tell you they are too busy meeting sales quotas to deal with helping customers.
As an unhappy customer, I've attempted to contact Tammi Terrell, vice president and general manager of AT&T Wireless Hawaii, but she clearly has better things to do than deal with complaints from customers.
