We signed up with ATT for TV phone and internet on a 99$ two year package promotion. We travel in the summer and were told that service could be put on vacation hold for the 5 months we were going to be away last year.
We called to have service restored before getting home only to find things did not work. Called, several times to get things up and running. When we got the new bill it was for 2.5 times what we were paying previously. Hours on the phone, no help, getting pissed with every call cause it takes half hour or more to connect with someone who if you are lucky you can somewhat understand cause they are in India or some other Godforsaken place and not here in the USA.
On top of this, we were gone for a few days, came home and our internet was down, working fine when we left. Called yet again, was told it was out modem. I tried to explain there was nothing coming into the house, was told NO it was the modem. ( knew it was not).
this is just around Christmas so things were hectic. New modem arrived, did not work, called yet again, told Tec. would be here Christmas Eve. He checked, said nothing coming into house (DUH).
Found that another installer had removed our wire in the outside box to hook up the neighbor. (WHAT) Anyway got things working. Internet very slow, another call. Everyone you connect with has no idea of what you worked on with another rep.
Customer Service is non existent with ATT, they bill you at their whim and fancy which bears no resemblance to what you signed up for and we are ready to go back to Comcast where at least you can go to a local office to get problems resolved. We have had it with ATT and advise against getting involved with them and one of their products cause if you have a problem FORGEDDABOUTIT..
