I have a small business. My modem went bad. AT&T said go buy a new one and then we can help you configure it. Otherwise, it will take 2 days for us to come do it. Made an appointment for 8:30 pm call back. AT&T never called. When you call them, you get the recorded message of high volume of calls. Well the reason there is a high volume of calls is because their service sucks out loud to start with. I am dumping them as soon as I can find a replacement for each of my 5 stores. ATT in Trenton, New Jersey - Double dipping on insurance coverage

ATT salesman convinces us of the benefit of buying insurance coverage on cell phones, so we do, 11 months into coverage (with monthly charges on the bill from ATT), one of our phones is stolen and so we call ATT for a replacement, which is what the salesman said "If your phone is lost, stolen, damaged, we'll just send you a new one!" And they did and charged us an additional $150 for "deductible"?! And of course they are SO SORRY BUT CANNOT WAIVE FEE through a 3rd party vendor. ATT sold us this insurance NOT THE 3rd party vendor. Anyone else out there get scammed like this? Furious in Levittown, PA

It is not a scam they have always charged a deductible, get over it maybe read what you are signing.

ATT in Warner Robins, Georgia - Worst Customer Service Ever

I signed on with Alltel and was never told AT&T was taking over their contracts. The 'replacement' phone that AT&T offered looked just like the phone I had selected with Alltel, but to my surprise, it was about 1/3 smaller. It was hard to use because the buttons were soooooo small, and navigation was difficult. When I complained to AT&T, I was told I could 'upgrade' for an additional $40. Then I received even more bad news. AT&T told me I had not made a payment in 2 1/2 months, and service was being suspended. I went to my bank, and found the debit on my bank statement for at least one of the months, and physically went into a AT&T location so I could speak with someone about the issue, I was told my complaint would have to go through the finance dept. Imagine…..the finance dept was having computer issues that day and could not help me. They asked if I wanted to speak with customer service…whom I had already spoken too several times with no success. I called back later and was told to fax or email the documents from my bank proving I had made the payment. I did as instructed. Then I called and spoke with someone in the cancellation dept. I stated that I never wanted to be an AT&T customer, and had I known Alltel was being bought out by AT&T I would never have gone with their service. I explained all the troubles I was having regarding the payment, and how much I hated the new phone, etc. I was politely told I could cancel the contract for $122. Basically they were like 'sucks that you are 100% dissatisfied, but we are not going to do anything about it unless you fork over more money. This is one person who will NEVER use AT&T services again, and will tell everyone I know that they are the worst. It isn't about the small guy. It is about the bottom dollar and how much money they can squeeze from you regardless of how unhappy you are. Look at AT&T with very open eyes before signing on.

Called to get a replacement phone because my wasn't charging. Instead of filing an insurance claim I was sent to warranty dept. They replaced phone and nothing else said. Until I got a bill for over 500.00 charging for a phone that I had ripped out the part of the phone that caused it not to charge. So therefore that gave them the right to charge me 384.00 for a refurbished phone. I did not do anything to the charging part of the phone but according to them it was me. Well they refuse to give me any type of credit or file on my phone insurance. I didn't give 384.00 for the phone brand new. And then they tell me 1135.00 to get out of contract. Can anyone say rip off!!!!

My phone is broken. I went to the store to show the problem and ask to use my insurance to replace the broken phone. The girl got me a new phone and made me to pay $80 she said it is deductible. Later I found out it turn to 24 month installment for the new phone. I went to the store to fix the problem. They told me they can do anything about it and ignored me. I called ATT customer service. They told me in their system it shows I purchased a phone. I told them I did not have any agreement with the store about purchasing a phone and I asked ATT to show my signature. The rep said it was verbal agreement. I said I did not have that purchase conversation at all. The rep said they can not do anything about it. They basically ripped me off. I had to pay off the balance, get out of Att and move on

ATT in Kent, Washington - Terrible! Never Again!

April of 2014 AT&T was replacing a defective phone by gifting me a new phone of another kind. At the time they were out of the one I wanted, so I paid the difference for the upgrade to 32GB. I was told that the phone was mine, but as I'm now cancelling my service contract I've found out that they connected the device to my contract and didn't make me aware of this- I was told the phone was mine, nothing about it being tied to a contract. I called today to pay my ETF fee, which took me speaking to 2 csr's and 2 supervisors before they would even take my money, as set up service with another carrier (1/2 the price for more of everything!) and they refuse to unlock my phone. All of the CSRs I spoke with previously this week told me that once I paid it would be unlocked, but omitted the fact that there would be a ridiculous and completely inappropriate wait causing me to be without service. I have now been told by a supervisor, Alex -Employee ID# B7S6G97, that he "Cannot have me on the line contradicting everything he says." after I stated they "are able to alleviate this, but clearly refuse to.", and then rushed me off the phone as though I was now a waste of his valuable time. I will not have an unlock code until 5 days from now, preventing me from using my own phone. This is going to cost me as many days with the new carrier, not to mention the 3 days it took me fighting to get this far. All but the last 2 reps I spoke with were, at least, professional. This is the only positive thing I can say about AT&T in my 2.5 years with their service. My $255.00 ETF fee is paid, I owe them nothing and yet my phone, and therefore service, are hostage to AT&T and their asinine "policies"... this took 5.5 hours over the last 3 days of my time, and this is still unresolved.

Called At&t's customer service line today, they said they didn't require a signature when they deliver you a new phone...so the *** FedEx driver can just leave it on your doorstep! Really?!?! A $600 phone can just be left on a DOOR STEP?!?! I live in an apartment community with 500 apartments! Of course its gonna get stolen! And of course when it's on your dime they can ship it to you the next day, but when it's on their dime it takes 2 freaken weeks to send you a replacement!!!! This company is an absolute joke! They wouldn't have to send so many replacements if they just had better policies! Gosh...as soon as my two year *** contract is up I am outta here!!

Standard shipping practice is for no signature when the delivery is to residential addresses. You would have received tracking information for that package after ordering it. At any point, especially after the tracking showed the package was in your area, you could have made arrangements to be at home the the package was due for delivery, for someone you trusted to be at home the the package was due for delivery, or to have the package held at the shipper's sorting facility so you could pick it up in person.

Att - Replacement Review from North Las Vegas, Nevada

After two years of taking my tablet in for problems, I was given a replacement tablet from the same store and told all I would have to pay on it is the taxes which I did while there that day. I was reassured 5 times that I would not be billed for a new tablet as this was a replacement. I am being billed installments for the replacement tablet! Went back to the store yesterday and was t old by a different person working there that I am wrong! I know what transpired when I received the replacement! I will get CBS This Morning involved and not stop with the media until this matter is rectified to what I was promised! I called management, left a message, of course, and never received a return call, of course.

My family had the same issue. Ours was by the store manager.

I asked the same question about being billed after we paid the $49.99 for 3 tablets and she said no. I went back after seeing my bill and was told by two cashiers that she has done this to a lot of customers, but due to the 14 day policy nothing could be done, but I could pay $142.00 for each tablet to buy out of the contract. I reminded them that when we bought the tablets the manager said she did not have ink and I came back to pick up my receipt which did not have all the information including return information, which I did not receive until the day I made the complaint. On top of that, the paperwork had an area for the customer to sign that they understood the information.

I didn't sign anything and was told that I didn't have to sign. I called customer service and was told as long as nothing was wrong with the tablets the store manager should take them back and to go back to the store and specifically ask for the store manager. I went back, but she was at lunch, so I called her and she said I don't know why they told you to call me. I reminded her that I specifically asked her about any payments after purchasing the tablet and she said no.

She didn't even apologize and shifted blame on customer service that they could take the tablets back but there is nothing she can do. Anyway, my plan is to just buy everything out and not deal with At&t. This is ridiculous as I have been a customer for years. If I had not asked I would have accepted responsibility, but its like they just brush it off.

So the so-called sales increase they are having with adding the tablets, I'm guessing its from lying to customers. I'm very disappointed and believe that they need to train the store managers better and make them accountable.

Its not even about the $10 monthly fee, but the fact that I asked and she told me no there wouldn't be a fee. So please do call CBS and whoever else you can, because this is not fair.

AT&T doesn't provide replacements or any kind of warranty for tablets, only the manufacturer of the tablet can do that. They probably processed an upgrade and you only heard what you wanted to hear.

ATT - Charged $579.00 for Non-Working Phone shipped USPS

I had to replace my phone because it was malfunctioning so I went through the insurance program and paid the 199.00 deductible for a replacement (that still does not work properly) ATT sent me a phone with instructions to send the phone back in the same box and even provided the USPS Label. This is where the BS started. ATT says they have not received the phone to date (I sent it back in May 2014). Last week they charged me the 'cost' of the phone, $579.00... they said the tracking number was never scanned...NOT MY FAULT!!! I disputed the charge and they discontinued my service when I traveled out of town. Terrible! Worst treatment ever! I have called several times to get clarification. First I was told that they do not know the tracking number, then I was told I could dispute. I was never contacted or sent an email or text message with the result of the dispute. All they did was terminate my service and charge me 40.00 to reconnect...This the craziest thing I have ever seen...

ATT - My system went done the 5th of August, nothing worked. I called your phone number for serviuce

The first response was a computer asking questions. Then finally got a person. I could not understand her, so she shuffled me to some else. I got NOWHERE,so I hung up. I tried later and got the same results. My wife tried and got the same results. I then went to the store at The Highlands and got some satisfaction . Friday morning the phone rang and it was working. I checked the TV,Computer and all worked. The replacement modem came this morning and I opened yup the package and it was a wireless modem, I do not have a wireless system .
