January 2017 I called AT&T to inquire about their Switcher Promotion with unlimited data. I had Verizon and my cellphone costs were skyrocketing because family members were using their cellphone for games and social media Apps. AT&T told me that they would replace our cellphones with Iphone7, pay up to $2000 of my Verizon Account and lower my monthly rate. This sounded great and I was reassured by the phone Rep that this would save me money, paying off my Verizon contract. My Verizon Bill was $1,783,38.. I followed the instruction they requested of me. 1. Go to AT&T Store and turn in old cellphone 2. Send a copy of last Verizon Billing with closed account info. When I went to the AT&T Store 11954 Carmel Mountain Road, San Diego CA 92128 Phone Number: (858) 674-0774 We turned in 5 phones all in working condition 3 x Galaxy 6 (one had cracked glass ) a waterproof Kyolera that took pictures and a old basic cell. They said they could only give me credit for three..... The cracked glass was given zero value and the Kyolera was old and also given zero value. I said okay....because I knew AT&T was going to pay my Verizon Bill up to $2000 and I only owed $1783.38 After sending my closing Verizon account info to AT&T I got 5 tracker post cards (772406240,772401572,772408467,772400603,772405147) several weeks latter I was sent 3 Visa Debt Cards ( $449/$348/337) for a total amount of $1134. My Verizon Bill was $1783.38 , I was wondering when I would receive the additional money owned $649.38 I waited two weeks and then called AT&T spoke to the Switcher Promotion Agent and supervisors not once not twice but over twenty times (EVERYWEEK) I was told my claim is being processed.....my claim is under review, Lastly they told me that I only turned in 3 cellphone, therefore that what I got. I turned 5 cellphones in they were wrong. I went back to the store four times and they told me the 2 phones were given zero value.....but how could that be the Galaxy 6 with cracked glass worked need just a new glass ( cost less than $80 to repair) phone was worth over $200 ...and the Kyolera was in perfect working order no damage ...should have been worth something ....not zero. The manager Tim Hoffman (Id#TH92G) told me I needed phones at least of $5,00 value and they would have credit the account.....SOMETHING IS ABSOLUTELY WRONG HERE. I am out $649.38 because the person work with me when I turned in the phones gave me a bad credit refund... I was never told anything about the phones ....just turn in the old ones ...we will replace them and pay off Verizon I need your help Consumer Bob Hansen my last attempt to get my $649.38 the was t past two weeks back at the AT&T Store where Juan Sanchez told me he would check into my claim, I never heard back from him. AT&T store sold me a bundled plan with mobile and u verse tv. After sometimes we get two separate bills from both and that does not correspond to the deal I was given. The cut the connection and I have tried talking to the store they don't help. It sucks check out carefully with their bundling plan. It can be a hoax. Think twice before using AT&T

ATT bills for months after cancelled service, claim service was not cancelled

ATT accepted my mobile # cancellation during a phone call in August 2016. Effective 10/10/2016 the service is still active and billing me. I placed another call in September to cancel service. ATT confirmed the cancellation. Effective 10/10/2016 the service is still billing me. Today ATT once again accepted my cancellation by phone. They declined my request for refunds for the past couple bills stating that I lied to them and that I had told them in August that I really didn't want to cancel and lose a $10 billing credit for unified billing. After 2 hours on the phone today, the last ATT rep says her supervisor will call me in 10 days after reviewing the tapes/notes of my many calls, he will consider whether or not to refund a couple months bills (99.80/month x 2) during which time the phones had no activity of any kind, no calls, no texts, no data, etc.

I have been fighting with them since January of 2016 and now my wife has a Verizen bill over $1200 sitting at a collections and on her credit report. Haven't given up on this issue though. Just AT&T itself

ATT in San Diego, California - Seriously bad customer service

My mom has been calling foYuight on so that we are unable to record any shows, as well as it stops recording in the middle of shows so we only catch half of it. We have been getting the run around for two months, and finally today January 8, 2016 we are just getting tossed around. They hang up on her, they are doing everything they can not to send out a technician. AT&T your service sucks all we want to do is be able to watch tv, have steady internet and be able to record our shows and we cannot. Stay on the line with us, help us out. It's not that hard. Also the first girl who sent my mom back to the main menu I would love to know your name. Retail is about the customer always being right and wanting to help customers get the best experience from your company possible, you guys have terrible customer service and its not wonder why everyone switches to time warner. you should really figure out how to help people and stop getting paid to do nothing.

ATT in San Diego, California - Have yet to deal with the fraud department but....

I am dealing with this as we speak the only reason I know this happened was because this week we were going to go to the store and upgrade two lines possibly three to iphone 6s or 6s plus and the two of my lines didn't have the upgrade anymore and three different dates of the contract date which we have the next program which the third was right but two of my lines were compromised now i got to sleep without getting to talk to the fraud department because they closed at 5:30est and i'm in PST i stayed on the phone for 50 MINUTES to finally call AT&T again to find this out mind you I am not happy and I just got a new job as well.

ATT in San Diego, California - STAY AWAY FROM AT&T

On November 18, 2015 I started TRYING TO GET your phone, internet, Direct TV package. I have since had Direct installed, had a great experience, and love the service. As to the rest, it's now November 30, and I've been on the phone FIVE SEPARATE TIMES for over two hours EACH TIME, and my husband has also spent hours on the phone with people we can barely understand and a phone connection that kicks out every third word. I've had THREE SEPARATE "N" numbers and dozens of excuses for why I'm still trying to get service. How is it that they stay in business??? How could anyone deal with this kind of customer (care?) If it was one person or one office, maybe there would be an answer to this question. But I have dealt with people ALL OVER THE WORLD and the same thing happens every time. They say they're very sorry -- this never should have happened -- "I am going to make sure that your problem is solved. I understand how frustrating this is for you." They say someone will call me today to set up service. BUT THE CALL NEVER COMES. And the next time I call them, I find out that MY SERVICE HAS BEEN CANCELLED AND I HAVE TO START OVER with a NEW "N" number!!!!! I've been cancelled and re-enlisted THREE TIMES and except for the first time NO ONE I"M TALKING TO CAN TELL ME WHAT THE CHARGE IS BECAUSE THEY ARE "SERVICE???" and only billing knows the answer to the charging question. Today, for the first time, they say I need an ACCOUNT NUMBER, not an N number and they can't even find any evidence that I have any service whatever. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE THAT NEVER ENDS. Horrible customer service. Over charging every month for fees. First 2 months over 15 sales calls on my phone a day. ATT sold the number to telemarketing. I signed a year with AT&T. I was told that I was being charged 3 months for renting a modem. They lied and they charged me for the installation. Now I have a re-installation fee because I missed my due date. My bills have been completely out of range of my budget, and I can't afford more than the 54$ I signed up for. AT&T had sold my number to telemarketers and I received over 15 calls a day on the 200 minute/month phone line. This should be illegal. For 54$ service, I have paid over 200$ in fees alone in 4 months. When I call for customer service, I can never get a manager. They won't let you talk to anyone else. If you do the employees will start sending you on a labyrinth of different departments until you're tired of dealing with customer service and just give in. This company is shady, immoral and on the *** of illegal, especially selling a phone number like that without my permission. I spent hours with different telemarketers just to be put on their "do not call" list. I want to put my account on auto pay but I'm so afraid that AT&T will just deduct anything they want to charge me and not just the 54$ a month I have due. I can't do that until my faith is restored in the company. I want to be able to call the company with a complaint such as the endless phone calls the first couple of months and actually reach someone who can help me. A manager, someone who is not going to sit there and try to sell me more stuff and tell me what a "great" deal I got with AT&T, because I did not get a deal, I got robbed. Guaranteed, I will be cancelling this service by the end of my contract if nothing changes.
