OMG! I disconnected my service today after 25 years with a land line.
1st of all, when you go through the menu and press the number to disconnect your service, you're cut off. After a 30 minute work-a-round and talking to a live person, I think I got it done. When I started asking about the deposit I made 25 years ago, no one could tell me anything about it. I talked to six people including supervisors in several different departments.
During the last transfer, I was put on hold and then an awful screeching noise came on the phone... they win.
I will never, ever use ATT again and will tell everyone I know not to use them. And, they better give me my deposit back!
