I was leaving on a Cruise and thought it would be a good idea to take ATT on their $40.00 International calling plan. The employee told me that the plan was a ONE TIME fee of $40.00 and that it would expire within two weeks of me buying the plan. I inquired three times, so your telling me that it is only $40.00? Again she assured me that was the plan. But that the only thing I needed to remember is that I must turn the cellular mode off while on the ship, but when the ship docked and while on the island I could turn it back on, with unlimited calling, texting and streaming. So I bought into it. Guess what! upon my return I was explaining their plan to some friends of mine, they advised me to look at my bill because they were told the same thing and got scammed. So when I looked at my bill, they charged me $221.00! when I called, they said oh no, the $40.00 is only for the plan, but the phone calls are $1.00 a minute. I asked to speak to a supervisor who cared less, then I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me that no, she was unable to transfer me to her supervisor, that she was the one to handle my complaint, then she transferred me (hung up) to some random employee who did not know what I was talking about. A month later I receive a text to call them at an 888 area code due to my billing concerns. When I called again another gimmick of theirs, the employee knew nothing and told me that computer generates those messages to the consumers. So this is another scam that they have going on.

ATT in Miami, Florida - Forcing customer into new 3G service

I am also pissed that I am losing my simple 2G ATT phone service. I hate smartphones and the mentality that goes with them. Why I need to give up my service to give better service to OTHERS who PAY MORE is beyond me. I bought my Moto Razr cell phone for emergency calls only. When the 2G goes, I will drop ATT and just get a prepaid cell phone from another carrier. Other carriers are keeping 2G until 2020 from what I read, or perhaps I can keep the Moto Razr and use another carrier. I am filling up space here because they require an essay of 100 words or more.

On May 2016 I went to the ATT Store at 122 Avenue and SW 88 Street, Miami, Florida 33186, to purchased an I-Phone. The clerk informed me that they had a rebate offer of 650.00, when you buy a new phone. The store did not carry the gold color that I wanted so they directed me to call and and order the phone. I ordered the phone and I was assured that although the phone was $750.00, that I would receive a rebate of $650.00. I would just have to wait till three billing cycles of on-time payments. Are you ready for what happened when I called after the three months and inquired as to why I had n to received my credit? Yes! you know! th response was that the rebate only applied if I had transferred my number from another carrier. I spoke to the rebate department and twice to ATT Customer Service to no avail. Yes I am pissed as *** that I was scammed. ATT scammes customers out of their hard earned money and then leave it up to their employees to provide you with an unsatisfactory explanation of oh no! I don't know why that happened or why they would say that. The reason that I am writing this review is to inform consumers of the scam, and to suggest to get everything on writing from ATT. If you don't believe me see how many pissed of customers they have who have written negative reviewes.

Let me start by saying that I have been an AT&T wireless customer for many, many years and have never had a problem. Hence, my desire to get TV service with them. U-verse was not available in my territory so I reached out to DirecTv. I had DirecTv installed when they became part of the AT&T Family. I was not particularly happy with their service because of the usual interruptions due to weather and their mini's had a lag when changing channels which was irritating. So when I found out U-verse was finally available in my area I was super excited. I began to call to get it installed. However, I was informed there would be an early termination fee for DirecTv so I decided to just go with internet service. Come day of installation, tech told me he couldn't install because the wires weren't outside yet. I'd have to wait to be contacted. So I had to call comcast and cancel disconnection of internet (everyone know how long that can take right). Then about a week later I see my neighbor is getting U-verse installed so I called and yes we're ready to reschedule. After speaking to numerous reps while simultaneously chatting with AT&T reps online, getting different information from each one, extremely frustrating and hours of my life I can't get back asked to speak to a supervisor and was disconnected. When I finally speak to someone on July 14, 2016, who tells me I can cancel DirecTv and I will receive a $200 gift card to cover the fee and gives me discounts for what I thought was to compensate for all my troubles I was thrilled. I was quoted a price that would last me 2 yrs :) Installation complete 7/19/16. Today I call AT&T to find out where my gift card was since I had already paid the early termination fee and guess what everyone!!! After numerous calls again, being transferred to various places they tell me I'm only getting $150 and now get this, the rep gave me a discount he wasn't supposed to and now I would have to pay $50 more a month on my bill. Spoke to one last person who said he couldn't do the same price either, the least he could do was still roughly $40 over what I was quoted. So I requested to cancel U-verse service and I'm going to cancel wireless as well. AT&T is no longer a company I wish to spend my money on. Luckily there are other providers. They just don't care about their loyal customers anymore. This is an outrage!!!!
