We are a vet practice and had a landline we use for fax service. Same number for over 20 years.

ATT notified us last year they were cancelling land lines. We contacted a fax provider and tried to port number. ATT kept rejecting port request. After trying repeatedly with ATT customer service, we got a supervisor who told us they had no ability to provide porting info for our number and it would transfer to Verizon effective in May 2021.

Continued to get bill from ATT and pay it because we were told it now had a Verizon Acct. Number. Now line is disconnected. Verizon says we do not have account with them and unlikely we can get number back.

All our clients, vendors, vet med boards have this fax number. Changing is going to be a major undertaking.

Monetary Loss: $150.

Preferred solution: We would like to retain the number.
