I went into an AT&T store in New York in July 2017. I went into inquire about my bill. I was wondering why it was so high, since I had already paid off one of my phones. They told me that I was paying for two lines, even though I did pay off one phone, the other phone's installment plan was on the line that I wanted to cancel. They told me that the only way I could cancel the line I did not want anymore was to pay off my phone that I currently owed $200 on. I immediately paid off my phone in order to cancel that one line. Then I went to a different provider who ported my AT&T number over, which automatically canceled my second line on AT&T. I received a final bill from AT&T which I paid in August. I just got an email from AT&T stating that I have a bill of $65 that will be due in October 2017. I called customer service about this error, and the manager told me that he was unable to waive the $65 because I had never called AT&T to cancel the phone line that was not ported over in July. He said he submitted a request to have the fee waived, however, since he has no documentation stating that I wanted to cancel my phone line in July, that they can deny the request. This is not the first miscommunication I had from them, but it will definitely be my last. They have a way of speaking and using terms so that customers are tricked into paying more money and get frustrated when the bill comes in the mail. I STRONGLY do not recommend AT&T to anyone!!

I have repeated my problems so many times to ATT that my head nearly explodes every time I think about all the hours of my personal time I have wasted speaking to ATT, troubleshooting problems they have caused, etc. and the energy I spend with this service provider. Consequently, I will only tell you my problems with ATT: 1. Television service: video and voice do not sync. Only way to fix is temporary and it requires that I change channels and then change back. Last ATT tech at my house said, "It's just that way." 2. Bad Customer Service: Have spent dozens of hours speaking to multiple foreign agents (very poor English speakers) who never issue credits/adjustments they have promised (warning: always ask for a ticket or service # regarding what you are told by ATT. Better yet try to communicate via ATT's chat function so you can print/save the entire conversation). 3. Bad Billing: Watch your ATT billing. It usually creeps up despite what you were promised. Credit/adjustments almost never issued. Requires customers to call back at least one or more time to get ATT to do what you were promised. That's all I can stand to say...my head is nearing exploding again.

After 3 years of "good" service with AT&T wireless, during the past couple months I cannot seem to be able to hold a single call or access email / data at all. I live in NJ and travel locally and to NYC. It has come to the point of moving to another wireless provider as this is driving all of us insane!

Where do I begin (deep sigh). I have been a loyal customer of AT&T for years. I recently got laid off, and I'm trying my best to catch up with my bills. I called AT&T and spoke with a manager (Janet) on: Monday (03/21/16) @ 12:20 PM for 20 minutes. She offered me the following option: I can make $100.00 partial payment on: 03/28, another $100.00 on: 04/03. The past due balance is: $313.88 She informed me that I have to pay the entire balance of $313.88 by 04/03. I have repeatedly advised her I simply can not make the remaining balance of $113.88 on the same day (04/03), there is no income coming in. I will try to perhaps borrow some $, but I refused to make a payment arrangement of the extra $113.88 when I know it will bounced for NSF (Non-sufficient fund). She stated, I'm sorry, our system won't allowed me to extend the due date (04/03). I politely explained to her, how is it that we are as loyal customers, when we need help, you don't seem to care. I will be able to make another $113.88 payment on: 04/07. This is only a temporary situation, I'm in the process of interviewing to obtain a full-time opportunities. Her tone of voice assured me she can care less! I just don't want you guys to suspend my phone because I'm expecting phone calls for interviews etc. And guess what happened, they suspended my phone today (03/23/16). I called AT&T again and complained to a manager name: Trish, I explained my situation and she informed me, yes, I have notes from the other manager that you spoke with on: 03/21/16, unfortunately I can not restore your service unless you pay the entire balance of $313.88 today (03/23/16). This is just unbelievable! AT&T is CROOKS! No wonder a lot of customers are jumping ship to another providers, I'm next! Please make sure everyone knows, AT&T only cares about money, money and money!

The most horrible and poor customer service at park avenue in new york no nice aloof not helpful rude etc etc I asked for few information a Spanish guy with a strong accent wasn't helpfull at all Very aloof and vague He didn't pay attention at what I was asking looking around I left the place extremely upset I hope that att n t will do something asap I called the customer service number and I reported the problem

ATT in New York, New York - Gives you hard time unlocking phones once you switch plans

HORRIBLE experience, ATT do not deliver promises, you always end up paying more that what they advertised. Get you into services you don't ever use/need. When planning on switching to another company, make sure you unlock your phones, otherwise you are going to end up waiting for weeks before it happens. Customer service needed to be contacted several times with a different answer each time until they finally tell you that the reason why your phones are being unlocked is because there is a reminder bill in your account, which is high considering you did not use their service for the complete month, and that it will be delivered by mail, which will take another week to get to you before you can make that final payment!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I was cheated out of a day of service not a great problem yet when I called to get courtesy day, I was met with LYING REPRESENTATIVES who claimed to be in the U.S. but were from other countries...instead of solving the problem they actually begged me to listen to them protect at&t and refused to apply the day back,UNBELIEVABLE! When I proved I was right they all hung up the phone, or tried to appear as though they did not know what I was talking about. AT&T we know you're big,but how did you get there? Is there no such thing as a customer 'may be right?' This great company ought to be ashamed of it's business practices,taking money out 5days before it is due to get interest on it. COME BACK TO THE UNITED STATES.

AT&T is the WORSE company ever, they steal the internet really fast and the bill is never what it is supposed to be. In AT&T flash GB are gone in one video... My account is supposed to pay $169 a month and I pay $255 just because they find charges Andre their beds. This Company is not Worthy; they are getting reach with poor people.. I would Never recommend this company to anybody. Clients need to open their eyes because this people always have hidden charges.

First - I port my phone # from AT&T to Verizon, I receive an email telling me that my final bill is ready (email dated 11/30) I attempt to log into my account w/ AT&T on 11/02 only to find out that they locked it because I ported the number and cancelled the account...WAIT...WHAT??? You tell me to log in KNOWING that you locked my account? I call the freaking automated line (I seriously hate those things!!! ) and the faceless voice tells me that because my phone number was transferred, it can't help me reset my password. I press "0" to talk to someone who actually has a brain and is breathing, and that *** tells me that, although he is very sorry, he cannot reset my password because the account has been cancelled!! I asked why - because inquiring minds want to know when logic is totally flushed down the toilet - and he can't tell me anything other than "I am unable to reset your password because the account is cancelled". He offers to snail mail a final bill to me -- but when I ask if it will arrive before the 15th when it is due, he says it will probably take 2 weeks to get here because it is not a standard procedure. I then tell him that is not good enough and I require that he transfers me to his manager. His manager gets on the phone and -- SURPRISE!! -- she is reading from the exact same script that he has!!! She's very sorry, yes, she has identified me as ME because she asked all my "secret" questions and my last 4 of my SSN, but STILL no one can live up to what the freaking email that they sent tells me!!! UNBELIEVABLE, ILLOGICAL, ***, IDIOTIC, ASSININE!!! I have not been with Verizon for even a week and have gotten BETTER customer service than I EVER got from AT&T in the 2 decades plus that I used their service. HOLY *** I am so glad to leave these inept *** behind. Then TODAY, I receive the email below: t was my pleasure to help you today. Below is a summary of our discussion: A copy of your bill has been requested and will be sent to the address on record within 7-10 business days. - There is normally a $5.00 fee to reprint your bill. As a courtesy, this fee has been waived. You can view up to 16 months of bills online: 1. Access att.com/wireless and login to myAT&T. 2. Click on Bill History under the Bill & Usage section. 3. Click the Online link under the appropriate bill date. A copy of your bill displays in a new window. 4. Click the Print button to print out a copy of the bill.
