I switched services from Spectrum to AT&T ( Always Terrible & Tricky) because they had an unbeatable promotion. From the start I asked several reps a plethora of times if I was signing a contract and the assurred me that I was not and I insisted that I was fundamentally opposed to long term agreements. Furthermore, the raised my monthly service rates and fees. Ultimately they send me a letter saying my monthly payment has almost tripled and that I am obligated for 2 years or that I will have to pay an outrageous cancellation fee! When I called to cancel they deaf earred me and continued to try to RETAIN my business even after I was adamant about cancelling.

ATT in Toledo, Ohio - Horrible customer service - have called 4 times!!

I have called numerous times regarding service that was promised as a $7.00 charge for 2 installations - one in our basement and one upstairs in our kitchen. Received a bill that is normally $168.00 a month - when I opened the bill it said my bill was $691.00!!!! I called on Saturday to no avail in getting anyone to help me - called Monday - told they were sorry but I would have to call back - system down - called back twice same day - customer service rep disconnected the call second time and first time she had me on hold for over an hour with no solution to this problem! ATT in Toledo, Ohio - Triple charge

Our service was disconnectedcu because we failed to pay our bill. We paid and service was reconnected. Next months bill showed a charge to reconnect x3. ATT refused to remove 2 of the reconnect fees. I’m confused...isn’t this an obvious mistake that can be easily fixed?

ATT in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio - The run around

Our pricing for phones that they quoted us has been incorrect for months. Our internet services goes out about 2 times a day. We signed a contract, but we should not have to pay for something that doesn't work. The issue really is with their customer service. The company would like you to only deal with them on the phone, but we have had the run around and have even been "disconnected" many times. I think they hang up on you when they don't want to deal with you anymore. The worst part for me was when I finally went into the Att store to speak to someone face to face. How else would we get service? The customer service representative and the management "warned" me about coming into the store and making a stink. I felt very bullied. Maybe a little economic civil disobedience is us what is needed here. To show just a sliver of what we have gone through, Sat. We went into the store and the representative did say he will put a message into his manager and the Erie presidents office. But, he was also the first one that warned me not to make a scene at the store. Sunday we received a call from the manager at the Howe Ave. store. She said that she was polite and only called to gather information to help, but again the warning as given to me to not come into the store. My tone changed again because we will not be bullied. I told her that we only get the run a round when we go through customer service on the phone. The management told me to call Allison Woodward and I was given the number 1 800 288 2020 to contact her. This is the customer service line that only gives you the run around. My first call went through Melanie employee number M12744. She told me that she could not give me the number to the Erie Regional Office even though the management at Howe Ave in Cuyahoga Falls told me to contact her. How could a part of Att not have a number for a regional office? I then called 1 210 821 4105 corporate number and of course was sent back to...you guessed it customer service where Michelle MA1541 said that she would take down my name and number but again could not put me in contact with Allison Woodward. I called 1 210 821 4105 again and pressed 3 for human resources, and was told the number was disconnected and was hung up on again. Called again and pressed 6 for corporate and was told t leave information if for stock services and again was not put in touch with anyone. Called 1 866 220 8446. The number was no ones in service and was then the number 1 800 331 0500. Called 1 800 331 0500 and guess what...sent back to customer unhelpful service. At that point I hung up.

This company is a joke. Had me in tears trying to force me to sell movie channels to an 88 yr old woman. I told this young man who was high as a kite, my supervisor I could not do this. He tried to tell me how to get the sale. I ultimately did not come back to work the next day because it was way too much for me to have to convince someone this would be beneficial for them. She was 88 years old and had zero interest in HBO or any movie channels. I was told that I do not push enough. They should drug test these so called supervisors

After over 40 years with att and 16 years with direct tv I am writing beyond completely frustrated over deceptive practices poor customer services outright lying of services you are getting. None of this happened until they became one under att.trying to get issues resolved is a nightmare . Always ask for a on shore agent at least they are in the USA. No one can seem to resolve anything correctly . The bundle packaging is a big *** stay away from it. At the end of my contract I will leave this company for good and not look back

ATT in Alliance, Ohio - Changed from wireless to u-verse voice

I've had AT&T (SBCGLOBAL.NET) for years, I've had some trouble many times with the phone. I talked with the repairman and he said it was the lines that were old. I decided to go with Verizon Wireless. I stayed with Verizon for 2 years. Less than $25.00 each month. My contract with Verizon was about to expire and I wanted get back with AT&T. I got back with AT&T for less than $25.00 for Wireless. This move made me pay AT&T in two different bills. I wanted to have one bill with AT&T. I asked AT&T to combine my bills into one. they did and they put me on U-Verse Voice. I don't use U-verse voice. All this I was charged enormous amounts of money. I called many time to put me back on Wireless phone like I had. Nothing happening. I would like to get this resolved right away. Calling on the phone for help is like talking to the wall. Getting nowhere. I need some help from a trusted person to get this done. That's the purpose of this letter. Thanks My contract expires in March od next year and I'm afraid I'' go with another carrier. Also I've made agreement with a person on the phone to payless than $50.00 for both services. The amount I'm paying is $46.39 each month. These services can be obtained around here for less than $50.00. $19.00 for the internet and around $25.00 for the wireless phone. I don't need any more. I use the phone for emergency only and the internet for banking services. I wish someone would look into this matter so I don't have to go through unneccessy transfers from one person to another.

So my rating of At&t is that it is absolutely without a doubt terrible at best and so bad I sometimes would just rather not pay them and let my credit take the hits at worst. Like I really do not know how the employees can be so incompetent, so helpless, so untrained, and incapable unless At&t were looking for those traits while hiring. I'm not some angry crazy person who hates life and go on rants, I never do this, but after speaking with many of their employees on the phone, online, and in stores I have never been so frustrated. A couple examples being my credit now has two hard inquires from one order, I currently have a $300 some charge on my credit card from an At&t employees mistake, my credit card was cancelled because At&t marked my account as fraud 4 times in a row even after calling all 4 times and verifying my identity, I have spent over 8 hours on the phone with At&t just trying to give them my money for a phone and another 5 hours in store split up over multiple days after work. You decide what you want but I am telling you it's not At&t.
