People have got to stop expecting FREE stuff everywhere they go. How would these companies stay in business??

How would the employees feed their families??? Think about this before you complain about policies that are on the receipt YOU didn't read

ATT in Hermitage, Tennessee - Horrible customer service

ATT home phone and internet only work occasionally. After a 2 hour phone call to India they sent a guy out and replaced the modem. It worked about 15 min. and quit again. Called him back (on another phone) and he said they would send another guy out tomorrow. I am still waiting. Price keeps going up service getting worse. Do not do business with this company. They called me for a survey and the recording locked up. They can't get anything to work. I will be taking my business somewhere else, which they don't seem to care. Now that they merged with Direct TV, their customer service has also went away.

On July 28 I was online, on AT&T chatting with a representative and he helped me order new AT&T internet service and Direct TV service through the 80$ monthly promo you had at the time. I selected to have the services installed on Friday, August 5 between the hours of 9:00-11:00. Shortly after this, I started getting emails from AT&T saying I needed to contact them. More information was needed from me in order to process my request. So I called the morning of August 1. I was speaking with a young lady and she told me there was no record of my order in the system and she kept trying to sell me service. Irritated and angry because I had already ordered the service, I told her I will call back and hung up. I contacted Direct TV and they told me this was an AT&T issue and there was nothing they could do. I got online, opened a chat box and chatted with Ms. Aria B. She told me there was no record of my order and it canceled because the Direct TV shipping and handling charges were not paid. I explained to her that was waived, an online deal, and I have the paper printed I can send her a copy if needed. She declined said she would fix it. It did take quite a bit of time and with the help of her supervisor they were able to set me up with the 24 mbps internet, not the 6 as I previously ordered. Ms. Aria B told me her supervisor approved me to have the 24 speed for the 6 speed price of $30.00 a month for the entire length of my contract, 24 months. He also approved for the $99.00 installment charges to be waived and the $50.00 reward card that went along with the promo to be increased to $100.00 for the trouble I've already had with AT&T. She did give me a confirmation number is 2786460640A. The chat transcript number is 732494231077681591. Later on during the day, still on August 1, I decide it may be best to contact Direct and make sure my order went through to them since AT&T did not have it. They did not have record of it either! So, speaking with Aaron from Direct TV (on the phone) he was able to get me set up on the Select package with Direct TV. Aaron also told me my reward card from Direct TV would be $300.00. (Already these two companies are not on the same page) With an installation date as I previously requested, Friday, August 5. He did tell me an AT&T tech. would be there to install the internet because he did open a request for this. The installation process was also an absolute mess! Direct TV showed up exactly when they were supposed to. AT&T – no. I had to rescheduled that and then the tech used the router from Charter Communications/Charter Spectrum to install the internet!! Didn't even use their router! So, I had to call them back out to fix that! Everything on AT&T's end has been awful – flat out horrible. From the ordering of the service, to it being installed, to the discounts and the statements. Nothing is right. Nothing is done right. Now, three months later. I am STILL fighting with AT&T to get the correct discounts added to my account and applied, monthly. My first bill from AT&T/Direct was only $8.00. Then my second bill was $201.09!! Keep in mind, I signed up for the $80.00 a month promotion they had at the time. $80.00 a month. Yesterday, I was online chatting with a representative Jordan H. (chat transcript number is 732494595151293669) with AT&T arguing about this issue and how AT&T is refusing to do what they promised to do and offered to send him a copy of the chat or anything to help to prove to him I'm not making this up. I was promised this!! He tells me he will have to call me, then transfer the call to the correct department (something that has been done before and obviously did not work) AND tells me that chat doesn't matter. If AT&T does not keep record of the chats in each person's account, why in the world would that be a form of communication!? If every call is recorded then every chat should be saved. After fighting and refusing to be called I finally give in. I get on the phone with a Ms. Tonya from phone number 800-331-0500 and she tells me she was informed I want to cancel my services. I NEVER SAID THAT! I WANT THE DISCOUNTS AND ITEMS PROMISED TO ME FROM AT&T AND DIRECT TV! THAT'S ALL. I WANT THESE TWO COMPANIES TO HONOR THEIR WORD. She tells me she is going to put me on hold to look into my account. 45 MINUTES LATER - YES YOU READ THAT, 45 MINUTES LATER - I am so fed up with being on hold, I got on my work phone and called into the number that called me. I then got on the phone with a Ms. Barb. After being on the phone with Ms. Barb for 10 minutes the call on my cell phone was disconnected. THIS WOMEN, TONYA, KEPT ME ON HOLD FOR 55 MINUTES - 55 MINUTES - AND THEN JUST HUNG UP THE PHONE!!! IN WHAT COMPANY IS THIS ACCEPTABLE AND OKAY!?!? THAT IS FLAT OUT RIDICULOUS! IF THE FIRST THREE MONTHS OF MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WASN'T BAD ENOUGH - 55 MINUTES ON HOLD IS ENOUGH FOR ME JUST TO CANCEL AND MAKE THE COMPANY PAY ANY CANCELATION FEES AND EARLY TERMINATION FEES. AN HOUR ALMOST AND I WAS AT WORK!!! AT&T FINDS THIS BEHAVIOR OKAY IN THE WORK PLACE. Ms. Barb actually took the time to look into my account and she saw where it was notated BY A SUPERVISOR where I should be receiving my internet for $30.00 a month. So why am I not getting that!? She also saw where AT&T said I do not qualify for my reward card because my internet was disconnected. WHAT!? Then why am I still being charged!? We did talk to this department and another representative got it reopened for me and said I will receive a $50.00 reward card within a month. Not what I was promised and that time frame is a little ridiculous. Ms. Barb did all she could, contacted all the departments she could and she finally had to open a case number for me and see what could be done. Case number is J41260373. Everything on AT&T's end has been awful – flat out horrible. From the ordering of the service, to it being installed, to the customer service and how I have been treated, to the discounts and the statements. Nothing is right. Nothing is done right. I AM DONE AND OVER WITH AT&T!! I WAS PROMISED THE 24 MBPS INTERNET SPEED FOR $30.00 A MONTH AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE IT. I WAS PROMISED A $100.00 REWARD CARD FROM AT&T AND ALSO A $300.00 REWARD CARD FROM DIRECT TV AND HAVE YET TO RECEIVE EITHER. I BELIEVE JOINING WITH AT&T WAS THE VERY WORST THING DIRECT TV COULD HAVE EVER DONE!!! AT&T IS RUINING THEIR REPUTATION AND THEIR GOOD CUSTOMER BASE. AT&T HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, AT ALL. THEY ARE RUDE. THEY ARE CALLOUS. THEY DON'T CARE. THEY DON'T STICK TO THEIR WORD, THE PROMISES THEY MADE FOR YOU. ALL THEY DO IS TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR TO KEEP YOU QUIET FOR A WEEK OR TWO AND THEN THE NEXT TIME YOU CALL BACK IN YOU WILL BE SOMEONE ELSE'S PROBLEM. THAT IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. ATT in Murfreesboro, Tennessee - Mess in my yard

At&t came into my subdivision: The Villages of Westover during the past few months to lay the foundation of U-Verse. My yard, that I have been working on for seven years was hit with digging of holes and trampling of my bushes and flowers. The president of the sub. said she could not help me -- that you are responsible for the damages. My house makes me sick now to the point I don't want to live there anymore. I have contacted an attorney (King-Simmons) here in Birmingham because at this point I have no other recourse. Please call me for other details. I also was told by one of your men that AT&T paid my board for the privilege of making this mess. Is this true? Please response to my complaint -- and I will report to my attorney.
