BUYER BEWARE. Traded in 3 phones for new ones was told by Manager that we were good to trade at full value($800 each for iphones,$1,000 for Samsung galaxy 9) for 2 new iphone 13's and a samsung flip.
had to keep our old phones to wait for shipment on new ones.
when they arrived we took old phones back to store to turn in. The samsung galaxy 9 trade in went from $1,000.00 trade down to $350 after the fact. after being told by Josh it was good for $1,000 trade value (he held it in his own hand and said "youre good" now after fact He denies this! MANAGER Josh also admitted to me this same thing had happened to his own father, and that his father had to file a grievance with BBB to get it resolved!
HUH???? REALLY??? Manager of local ATT stores own father and nothing could be done by ATT??
Josh also stated he had not done a trade in on a Samsung Galaxy 9 in a while so "i apologize" HUH??? APOLOGIZE??what does that have to do with our agreement??
why does your incompetence cost ME $650??? That's YOUR wagon to pull not mine!
When I went back to store about this discrepancy was presented with copies of "DEVICE TRADE IN RECEIPT" for all each phone that states value and has a place for customer to sign prior to relinquishing old phone. none of the 3 of us were shown this form before signing contract or when phones were turned in, and all 3 have no customer acknowledgment signature. So bottom line ATT owes me $650 on top of the $350 trade value to equal the $1000 trade initially agreed upon with manager Josh.
On top of that called ATT and they said it was responsibility of trade in dept. After briefing them, was told it was a customer service issue. Around and around we go on the ATT merry go round! So now on hold with ATT for second time today waiting for supervisor, as am finally told by customer service that they can do nothing about this.
This will be resolved one way or another, but BEWARE! Get your phone trade in value in writing up front and signed off by manager before signing up. Make sure you are getting what you were told up front and deal with ONE salesperson only to keep facts straight because apparently, different sales reps at this store have individual ways of handling things.
Dont take an individuals word on anything they say. GET IT ALL IN WRITING AND SIGNED OFF PRIOR TO ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT ON THIS PROMOTION!!

Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
ATT Cons: Wont fix mistakes.
