When I bought a business a few years ago the phone number was transferred to me. Next thing I knew AT&T forced me into a 2 year contract with them.

I complained frequently and bitterly but to no avail. You can't get off the phone with them in less than an hour. Recently, 2 1/2 years after being put on their 2 year contract, I called to disconnect my service. I was informed that they have changed it to a yearly renewal contract which started 4 months ago.

I will owe $18 a month for the remaining 8 months = $144. to cancel my service. They no longer use the word disconnect. I told them I totally disagree, I never signed or agreed to this.

Since I refuse to pay such an outlandish fraudulent fee, I will have my credit harmed by this company who routinely forces its customers into binding contracts instead of giving them good customer service. never again will I use AT&T.
